Hello to all! I am a rising Junior at Columbia University studying philosophy looking to babysit. I have worked babysitting jobs before back home in DC for parents of my school. Throughout those experiences, I've always appreciated the connection I was able to form with the kids as I watched them progress and grow. I have also worked as a soccer coach for refugee children through a program offered at my high school. Through this experience I was able to better understand how to lead groups of kids for physical activity while also making sure they are just having fun. Furthermore, I come from an international background and can speak three languages (English, French, and German) and really enjoy imparting some linguistic knowledge on the kids who are willing to learn. In doing this job, it is my goal to be someone the kid can laugh with, learn with, and play games with as I take the weight of having children off your shoulders for hours at a time.

I am a master's student, attending Berklee NYC. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. In the past few years, I have grown my childcare experience greatly. I was a counselor for 3 years, before being promoted to run the before and after school programs at a local elementary school, and eventually moving into a teen advisor role with the YMCA. In my time I worked with children ages 4-18. I was a live-in nanny for a family with 4 children, ages 3, 7, 9, and 13, and this past summer before I started school I was a nanny for a 6-month-old, 2-year-old, and 6-year-old. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified, and I also have my Emergency Medication Administration training. I am patient and reliable, and I can provide references.

I have a passion for social justice, safety, and the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals in our communities. In my free time I love to bake, read, and spend time with my cat, Bunny! I would describe myself as communicative, patient, and organized. I love to make sure everyone is on the same page at all times and highly value a collaborative approach when working with families and care teams. I have experience working in both private childcare (toddlers through middle school age) and as a mentor/behavior coach at state agencies (elementary through high school ages). I also have experience working with neurodivergent kiddos, including profound (nonverbal) autism and intellectual disabilities.
