I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am currently working with a family of 4 boys, ages 6 years to 6 months. I am looking for other temporary jobs while they are out of town for the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include taking and picking up kids from school, taking them to their various activities and extra curricular activities, cooking and meal time, and getting ready for bed, along with general care taking, playing, and supervision. I enjoy meeting kids where they are at, engaging in their interests and joys, and creating a space where they can feel safe and cared for. I am currently a graduate student studying social work at Fordham University where I’m learning how to support children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways. I have five cats back home, one of which is the queen, who gave birth to three healthy kittens in my bed, refusing to do so anywhere else in the house. Of course, I was there for her every step of the way, soothing and feeding her calming treats. I am very familiar with their care and needs. While I’ve never had a dog, I’ve walked my friends’ and thoroughly enjoy their company. If needed, I am open to day/weekend-long babysitting, pet care, and housesitting.
