Hi, I’m so excited to be on UrbanSitter! I’ve been in childcare my entire adult life, working at my children’s daycares through the years and also as a nanny for 2 different families when we moved to Austin 15 years ago. I am a mother to three awesome kids ranging from early college to second grade! I’m interested in baby sitting and nanny roles. I love helping kids have fun and helping to bring joy to other people! I hope we can meet!

Daleyah $15 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Lee, I’m 18, and I love childcare. Up until I decided to build a career in baking, I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I’ve been helping take care of my 3 year old sister since she was born and before that, I babysat regularly for family friends and neighbors. I have a driver’s license and a car, so transportation is no problem. I would love to meet your child and support them in their development. I also have no problem with light housekeeping and cooking, whatever I can do to support your family most.

I am 22 years old. I graduated in Geography Teaching in Türkiye and worked as a teacher for one year. I am legally authorized to work in the United States. Through my profession, I have gained experience in communicating effectively with children, understanding their developmental needs, and being patient and responsible. I worked with children of different age groups in a school environment and supported both their academic and social development. In addition, I played an active role for many years in caring for my two younger siblings, one girl and one boy. I have hands-on experience with daily childcare tasks such as feeding, playing, and spending quality time with children. I have a very good connection with babies and children; they usually enjoy spending time with me and feel comfortable quickly. Although my English is not at an advanced level, I can communicate comfortably with young children at a basic level. The safety, happiness, and healthy development of children are always my top priorities. I am responsible, reliable, and eager to learn.

Vernicia $20 per hour for 1 child

Hello, I am a proud Houstonian, mother of two daughters, a grandmother of a granddaughter age 15, and a grandson 13 months-old. ( I currently care for him during the day.) My love for caring for children began in high school. For the summers I worked with the infants and toddlers as a teacher's helper at the University of Houston Child Care Center. I enjoyed every summer I worked with them. At age 24 I became a Cosmetology Operator, then 10 years later I moved on to become an instructor at Paul Mitchel The School Houston (2[removed]) then in Austin (2019-2022). This is where I gained my passion for teaching, and my commpassion, understanding and patience for youth and young adults. My most recent experiences of working with kindergarteners to the high school student was as a substituted with the Alvin ISD SPED department.(2023-2024). During the summers, I worked as a Certified Job Coach for the Summer Earn And Learn program, where I work along side teens, with disabilities, as they become acclimate with their new job's roles and responsibilities. I am also certified in First Aid and CPR, and currently enrolled in Western Governors University to acquire a BA degree in Special Education. (I will be happy to provide proof of credentials as well references if needed). Caring for your child(ren) willinclude running errands, cooking small meals, feeding, bathing, and putting your child to bed. I will always be sure to tidy up behind myself as well. I promise to give your child(ren) the same attention, respect, compassion, and patience, that I show my own grandchildren. I also promise to respect your home, your personal belongings and your personal space as I would expect someone to respect mine. I look forward to serving you and your family in the near future.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
