Hi! My name is Carmen! I’m 22 years old. I was born in Peru and moved to Northern Virginia in 2013. When my mom and I first moved here, we were waiting for our paperwork to be processed and weren’t able to work, so we started babysitting children from our home for families we knew and family friends. Over the years, we cared for children ranging from as young as 3 months old to about 4 years old. We built such wonderful relationships with the children and their families, and we still keep in touch with many of them and even attend their family gatherings. It has been really special to watch the children grow and to remain close with their families throughout the years. Currently, I work as a server at a restaurant, and I really enjoy staying busy, being helpful, and interacting with people. Although I haven’t had professional experience caring for seniors yet, I do have several years of experience caring for young children, which has taught me to be patient, responsible, attentive, and caring. I also have a 5-year-old Shih Tzu who was actually gifted to us by one of those family friends, so she has become a very special part of our family as well! 🐶❤️ I also want to mention that I live a healthy and responsible lifestyle. I have worked with children since I was 17 years old! I have worked for a daycare as a lead for the infant room, twos room, threes room, fours and school age as well as assisted in all classrooms. I also was an assistant director for some time at the center as well! I also have obtained my CDA through the school I was working for as well. I love teaching children and now that I am a busy mom with 3 children of my own (5, 8 and 14) I thought it would be a good time to branch out and try being a nanny for a family. I love pets of any shape or size and I know how hard it can be to come home from a long day at work, so I don't mind doing light housekeeping chores!
