I started babysitting when I was 12 and have continued to throughout my life. I’m a 50 year old mother of two boys, 22 and 20 and we had a dog and multiple cats along the way. I worked at gym daycares when the kids were little as well as traded babysitting with friends with kids. I myself was raised with a younger sister and many animals including a pony, dogs, cats, fish, birds, a bunny, turtles and rats. I spent my summers at our families ranch in Northern California which has horses, cows, dogs, cats, peacocks, turkeys and pheasants. All in all I’ve had the joy of enjoying and taking care of many children and animals through the years and look forward to doing the same with yours.
Hi! My name is Mia, and I’m currently in school earning my Master of Arts in Teaching. I have experience as a substitute teacher and private nanny, working with children ranging from 6 weeks to 15 years old. I’m CPR, First Aid, and Mandated Reporter certified, and I have a background in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I’m patient, caring, organized, and genuinely enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids. I’m currently looking for a summer nannying or caregiving position part time and would love the chance to connect with your family!
Hello, My name is Shelby and my passion and purpose is supporting children of all ages and abilities. I am a mother, wife, Education Specialist, special education advocate, and former behavior specialist. I have previously taught general education 2nd- 5th grade, life skills, an extensive support needs class, and mild/moderate special education within the public school sector. As a former Behavior specialist of 6 years, I have experience working with children of different ages, abilities, and special needs. I currently hold 3 CA teaching credentials-a multi-subject credential (K-6) , a mild/ moderate special education credential, and an extensive support needs credential. A bit about me: I absolutely LOVE being a mother and watching my daughter grow 🌱.I enjoy cooking, traveling, teaching, advocating, and spending time with my family. Fun fact: I hold an MA in Special Education 🧩 As a caretaker and educator, I strive to create a safe, engaging, and positive experience for children by getting to know each child and their individual needs/ interests. I also enjoy providing engaging age-appropriate activities for children. Everything from sensory bins, balloon animals, watercolors, bubbles, and board games! My availability best suits families in need of childcare on the weekends, in the evening, occasional date nights, special education advocacy specializing in IEP’s, and play-based social opportunities for our little ones to socialize (29 months). Please feel free to set up an interview, check my availability, or inquire about specific dates for an upcoming event. Best, Shelby
Hiii! I’m Aubrey, some of my important qualifications I would say are responsible, caring, and reliable. I have a natural ability to connect with kids, keeping them engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities while also maintaining a safe environment. I am patient, attentive, and quick to respond in any situation, which helps me handle everything from everyday routines to challenges. Whether it’s helping with homework, preparing meals, or simply offering a warm and trustworthy presence, I’m dedicated to providing the best care possible. One of my experiences with children is that I have a 6 year old little sister, who I take care of all the time! I have changed diapers, made her dinner/lunch/breakfast, gave baths, taken her to school, packed lunches, put her to bed.
Hello, It is very nice to find you here. I began my childcare, elder care, and pet care services as a teenager, and I am now in my mid 50s. I love caring for others and making them feel supported. I have worked with children from infants through high school. As a teen, I was the neighborhood babysitter :-). After I finished college, I became a substitute teacher for grades K-12 and subsequently an elementary school teacher of 2nd grade. Kids are great little people! During my high school years, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. Currently I am able to go to the pet's home to make sure they are taken for walks and fed along with other needs. Dogs, cats, pet rabbits, and other furry creatures are little bundles of love. :-) My elder care experience began with my grandmother who developed Alzheimer's nearly 10 years ago. I took care of her daily living needs, cooking, errands, and social events. I have since had a number of elder care clients who need support in their living space. It gives me great pleasure to know I've made someone else's day better with my caring skills. Looking forward to chatting with you.
“Tanya has helped me run my household several times in a few different capacities over several decades. She was an excellent baby sitter for my son, and I also have trusted her with house and pet sitting. Tanya is reliable, honest and a real pleasure as a person. She is kind, compassionate and attuned. I can’t recommend her highly enough.”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
