I get along great with kids and have been babysitting/nannying since I was in high school. I have experience with infants, toddlers, and young kids, but am open to all ages! I have helped with school pick-up/drop-off, tutored, improvised fun games, and facilitated many a crafts! I grew up with three dogs, a cat, hamsters, and chickens, so I feel quite comfortable around most pets. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean, and run errands. Over the past three years, I’ve also helped pet sit for friends’ cats and dogs, and I’ve cared for my roommate’s dog, Nala, for multiple days at a time. I currently work in a hybrid position, so I’m in the office three days a week. On those days, I usually leave around 8 a.m. and return by 5 p.m. I’m very flexible with my schedule and can adjust my in-office days or visit times to fit your pet’s needs. I am now a nutrition and garden educator in Oakland Unified School District. My passions lie in making sure children receive equitable and accessible outdoor education and fresh food! I mostly work with 3rd, 6th, and 9th graders, but am comfortable with all age groups. My experience has been primarily with children from 10 months- 10 years old. I am also available to help with tidying, homework, and cooking. During childcare hours, I prioritize hands-on, outdoor if possible, activities instead of screens. I started with my two cousins that were 6 and 3 y/o at that time; then a 3 month old baby until 18 months, and her cousin since she was 4months until 8 months. After that I arrived to Oakland and I’m currently working with two girls! They were 2 years old and 4 months old when i arrived, now they’re 3 y/o and 2 years old 🫶🏻 I feel comfortable with infants and kids, i like to play with them and teach them stuff and also dance and sing! I never did pet care but i have had dogs all my life and i love them, my host family here also have a dog and i usually go for walks with him ❤️

Happy to engage in activities, go to the park, read, draw, stay off screens if preferred, make healthy snacks/meals, adhere to your routines and boundaries, and be a trustworthy (and hopefully fun) buddy.
