Hi my name is Kari! I am a graduate student at CSUMB and a Navy veteran. I have always enjoyed fostering loving and fun environments for children starting when I was a Girl Scout camp counselor in my teens, to babysitting and nannying after my time in the Navy, until now after having my own son! Some of my favorite activities to do with children are arts / crafts, beach days, aquarium visits, gardening, library story times, etc! I am CPR and basic life support (for adults and infants) certified and recently took the recertification course. I have advanced knowledge of combat casualty care as well. I have base and commissary access if needed for your situation. I am very good with all kinds of animals of all kinds of temperament.
“Kari is an AMAZING sitter/nanny. I was having some consistency issues with my current daycare because the lady running our daycare was dealing with some doctors appointments, and THANK GOD I had Kari to help with those days I didn’t have care for my son. I wish I could have switched to Kari all together, but unfortunately it just wouldn’t work for my schedule and it’s the only reason she isn’t our full time care. She was fully engaged with my son, she followed our schedule to the second, she fed him great food, all whole foods all very healthy, she even washed his clothes when he got them wet. She even took the kids to the beach! My son had soooo much fun with her. She’s an amazing mom and and amazing caregiver. She is the kost impressive sitter I have ever used and my son loves her so much.”
Hi! I'm Emily. I've worked with kids for over 20 years. I work in the golf industry as well as cover college football but am looking to get back into childcare as well! I have a B. A. in English Creative Writing and I was a division 1 athlete in two sports (soccer & cross country). I am energetic and fun-loving, kind and caring.
Hi! My name is Olivia and I am currently a full-time graduate student at California State University, Monterey Bay, studying Speech-Language Pathology with the goal of being a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for children with special needs. I am CPR-BLS certified and can provide you with my certificate! I have worked with children ranging from infants to teenagers for almost a decade! In the past five years, I have worked as a lead teacher for after-school group care at elementary schools throughout San Luis Obispo, and most recently as an assistant teacher at a special-needs preschool with children ages 2-5. Additionally, I have experience and a deep passion towards caring for children with special needs, including but not limited to the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, and other behavioral needs, as well as familiarity with children using augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC). I strongly believe that every child deserves nothing less than top notch care and advocacy for their unique needs. I’m also a huge supporter of creativity and the arts! I received my bachelor’s degree in 2024 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in Studio Arts (painting and drawing), and have taught various art camps and classes for kids ages 3-14 including painting, ceramics, papier-mâché, and more. I’m a pet lover and have two dogs of my own! I’m happy to help with feeding, walking, playing, or just keeping them company. I understand that your children are your greatest gift, and thank you so much for trusting me with that care. I look forward to meeting you!
Hello I'm Beth! I'm a current CSUMB sophomore who has worked with kids professionally for the past 4 years and have taken care of my siblings since I was 13. I am offering care for toddlers, kids, pets, and homes. For the summers of 2022 to 2024 I was a summer camp counselor for ages 6-10 and this most recent summer I was the site lead for the camp. Some of my responsibilities were to choose and lead crafts and games for groups of up to 30 kids, manage day to day activities like lunch, swimming, and reading time, and communicate with parents about any happenings in their kid's day. I have a drivers license and also have a lot of experience cleaning and organizing. I can make simple meals, run errands, lead many different games, and organize crafts. One way I like to promote learning with children is to disguise it as something fun, using competition or mysteries to entice them.
Hi! My name is Nicole and I am a current Speech-Language Pathology Masters student at CSUMB. I am looking for part time and occasional care positions and would love to connect if I seem like a good fit for your family!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
