I am a very nurturing, caring, experienced and reliable mom of two college age boys. I have always been passionate about children and especially love working with infants to age 4. I started babysitting when I was 15 years old and after college I was a full time nanny for a special needs infant. I was also a respite care worker (part time) and administered medication and assisted a quadriplegic woman with her exercises and daily routines. I was a preschool teacher for 11 years and also worked as a behavior therapist, for over a year, for children diagnosed with autism. As a preschool teacher I worked with all ages, but for 7 years I taught the 3-4 year old class at Bnai Simcha Preschool In Pasadena. I especially love children’s literature and always had a very creative and engaging classroom! I have a BA in Sociology and have taken 19 units in early childhood education. I recently renewed my CPR and First Aid certifiication. I took the last year and a half off of work because my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and hashimotos,, and I also wanted to be more available for my mom who is in the late middle stage of dementia. Hello, My name is Marsha. I live with my husband, who is a retired ICU nurse and worked for 20 years at Loma Linda Hospital. in Plantation Lakes, a lovely seniors-only subdivision in Calimesa. My daughter and her husband are ICU nurses and live in San Marcos. I'm retired and worked for 20 years+ as a speaker doing seminars for geotechnical engineers. I retired from being a Notary Public three years ago during the Covid outbreak. I am a very young 72 with no physical problems and a strong back. I love children and miss my grandsons being little as I miss playing games with them and helped to raise them.. We play Scrabble often. I babysit my five grandsons often and enjoy them so much, for free. They are 4, 9, 10, 14 and 16. When my daughter and her husband take their three boys to Colorado to visit that side of the family for 4 or five days, they pay me $100 per day to take care of their lovely house in San Marcos, and their three dogs. I like to be in a clean house, so I keep things picked up. I'm a good cook and I can make anything your child is allowed to eat and do the dishes afterwards. I like to take walks in nice neighborhoods. I would have no problem spending the night once in awhile if you have a special night to celebrate.
