Hi! I’m a 29-year-old recent medical school graduate with a deep love for caring for others, especially kids. I graduated from the University of San Francisco and have spent time working at UCSF in cancer research, as well as building a nonprofit organization that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve had several years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages, including those with medical complexities. I’ve supervised up to 15 kids at a time while directing a summer science camp, provided consistent after-school care, and worked closely with families over multiple years. I also spent three years working at a tutoring center, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework and learning activities. I truly enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences for kids, whether that’s baking together, doing arts and crafts, playing sports, exploring parks, or organizing little “adventures” around the city like trips to museums, hikes, or the beach. I’ve also supported families during overnights, vacations, and special events like birthdays and weddings. I’m known for being extremely patient, dependable, and a strong communicator with parents. Most importantly, I genuinely love building meaningful connections with the children I care for and always put my whole heart into the families I work with. I am a camp counselor for kids ages ranging from PreK-5th grade, responsible for classes of 10-15 children. Camp is only in session during school breaks, so I babysit/nanny during the school year. I’m also a regular babysitter to an amazing eight-year-old! I've been working with that family for about four years now, up to 9 hours a week. As grateful as I am to work with this family, I'd love to further broaden my childcare experience. I am also a sophomore at a community college. I believe it takes a village to raise a child. Being raised by a single parent myself, I am passionate about serving families in my community who need extra childcare support. Queer and trans friendly.
