Hi! My name is Gia and I am an animal science major at UC Davis. I grew up in the Bay Area and throughout my life the things that brought me the most joy have been little kids and animals. I am offering my services for childcare and pet care. I started babysitting in middle school and have babysat on a regular basis for numerous families with kids of all different ages and pets of all different types. I am also a seasoned pet sitter and house-sitter. With these jobs my responsibilities have included playing with the kids, making basic meals, helping with homework and tutoring, driving kids, bathing and putting to sleep, running errands, cleaning, laundry, changing diapers, etc. Additionally, I am a camp counselor at a kids horseback riding and crafts summer camp which has given me lots of experience caring for many kids at once and in an environment with lots of potential hazards.
I worked as a Taekwondo Instructor from freshman to senior year of high school. As an Instructor, I began assisting classes around age 10 to which by age 15 I was permitted to teach my own classes and create unique lesson plans for the day. My job was to tailor an engaging curriculum each day for students with a range of learning styles, disabilities, strengths and weaknesses. I often experiment and designed new drills to accommodate my vast audience ranging from as old as three to as young as seventy-eight. I also volunteered and coordinated the Taekwondo summer camp program where parents were able to drop off their kids and we would have a whole day planned filled with fun activities, snacks, nap time, and arts and crafts. I also recently completed an internship through the UC Davis PEDS Infusion Center. During my spring and summer quarter shifts, I would provide one-on-one bedside support through age-appropriate play and therapeutic art activities to help pediatric patients process treatment related anxiety. I would also relieve some of the parents so they were able to take a quick break while I watched and engaged with their child as they were getting their treatment done. Some examples were holding and soothing their baby, playing cards or board games, or participating in coloring and art therapy. I was also responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing toys, to maintain infection prevention standards for immunocompromised patients.
Hello families! My name is Quianna, and I’m a caring, dependable, and patient caregiver with a natural love for helping others. I take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for the people I care for. I have hands-on childcare experience from raising my two children and babysitting when they were younger. I am a mother of two young adult children and a proud grandmother to a 1-year-old granddaughter, so caring for children comes naturally to me. I enjoy helping with daily routines, playtime, learning activities, and making sure children feel safe and supported. I also have experience helping others with everyday tasks such as companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and organization. I am patient, respectful, and enjoy being helpful wherever I’m needed. I am also working toward opening my own home daycare in 2027, because caring for children is something I am truly passionate about and plan to continue long-term. Families describe me as reliable, friendly, drama-free, and easy to communicate with. I’m trustworthy, organized, and take my responsibilities seriously. I treat every home with respect and care as if it were my own. I look forward to supporting your family and providing dependable, compassionate care.
Hi, my name is Meriyah! I currently attend Sacramento City College, where I’m completing my prerequisites to pursue a nursing career. I’m the oldest of five kids and have years of hands-on childcare experience caring for my siblings from infancy through their current ages 6-12, including twins. I’m nurturing, patient, dependable, and a natural leader who creates a safe, loving, and fun environment. Growing up, I learned responsibility early through helping guide my younger siblings with daily routines, play, and care. I’m also a devoted pet owner to a senior German Shepherd and a young teacup Yorkie, so I’m very comfortable caring for both children and pets while supporting busy households. Thanks so much for considering me!
“Ms Meriyah G. was very friendly, warm, and personable. She took excellent care of my little one. My child expressed desire to have her back again as a sitter. She went out of her way to make my child feel special with a personalized activity. ”
Hi! My name is Hyewon, and I’m currently studying psychology at UC Davis. I’m passionate about child development and am pursuing a career as an adolescent psychologist, focusing on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. I have 2 years of experience working with children ages 3–7 as an assistant teacher and 2 years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing ABA therapy to children with autism aged 4–12. I’m patient, creative, and love engaging children through play, art, reading, and hands-on learning activities. I can also help with homework, light meal prep, cleaning, pet care, and transportation to and from school or activities. I have a cat myself and absolutely love animals!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
