I am a college student majoring in Elementary Education. I have three years experience babysitting children of all ages, and caregiving for special needs children and teenagers, and medical assistance for elderly patients. I am patient, attentive, and nurturing. Having two siblings with autism, I am passionate about helping people and supporting their individual needs.
“Jazmine is punctual, nurturing, and kind. We were delighted with her services!”
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I have been working with children and families for over 25 years in many different settings—as a babysitter, live-in nanny, tutor, after-school and summer program leader, scout camp staff, in-patient and out-patient mental health treatment provider, facilitating parenting classes, and as a therapist specializing in youth and families. I also grew up caring for my four younger brothers, as well as many nieces and nephews, so childcare has always been a natural part of my life. Alongside childcare, I have provided professional dog and cat sitting, cared for my own pets (including a bearded dragon!), and supported families with household tasks and cleaning. For example, I worked weekly for a family in Palo Alto for eight months, helping keep their home clean and welcoming. I especially enjoy organizing and home decor. With a background in social work and mental health, I strive to create a safe, affirming space for children and families, and I am experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Music, and I enjoy incorporating creativity, patience, and structure into the care I provide. Personally, I grew up in a small mountain town in Northern Utah, but have now called the Bay Area home for the past 15 years. Outside of work, I love rock climbing, reading, playing guitar and singing, art, tabletop games, and spending time at the beach. I’m also bilingual in English and conversational/intermediate-advanced Spanish. I’m a proud parent to two wonderful kids—an 18-year-old who lives in Utah and a 5-year-old who just started kindergarten. With my youngest now in school and spending part of the week with the other parent, I have more flexibility in my schedule to provide reliable care and support for other families. I bring not only professional experience but also the heart of a parent to the work I do. I look forward to meeting you! P.S. I have been certified many times over in the past for infant and child CPR and first aid, but am not currently up-to-date. I would be happy to re-certify if needed for the right fit.
My name is Edith, and I’m looking to connect with families in need of consistent childcare support. I am an Early Childhood Educator with 8+ years of experience working with children ages 2–18 in various settings. My journey began as an After School Program Leader and Educational Specialist, where I created and facilitated curriculum for K–12 students. From there, I became a preschool teacher and discovered my true passion in Early Childhood Education. Since then, I’ve served as both Co-Teacher and Head Teacher at private childcare centers, including a Spanish Immersion school and a center supporting families in the tech community. I love to focus my teaching style by prioritizing Social and Emotional Learning and incorporating Music and movement at any opportunity given. I also love to tag team with parents to really get to know you Childs developmental needs, and how I can support that while they are under my care. As a Baby sitter, I love to avoid screen time as long as possible, and prefer to provide various provocations that help your child practice critical thinking, healthy communication styles, and also answer their curiosities about the world around them. I pride myself in encouraging Dramatic Play and outdoor play in order to maximize my time with your child during my care. I am a native Spanish Speaker who is fluent in both Spanish and English. I am currently employed as Emergent Multilingual Learner Aide and support English language development with Adolescents. I currently also babysit two of my previous students who is served working at the private child care setting. I also have experience with Curriculum Planning, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, Social and Emotional Learning, Positive Discipline, English Language Development, Language Immersion strategies, Critical Thinking, Reggio Emilia, Music and Movement, and Art. I am Looking to support ECE in a more flexible capacity while also working and finishing my schooling. Please message me if you would like to Get to know me more!
