Hello! My name is Emily and I’m currently a Junior at UCLA. I offer child care, pet care, and household services. I’ve been caring for others since I was about 10 years old, starting with my younger siblings, and have worked with children of all ages—from infants to teens. I don’t have a specific age preference to work with, as I love caring for all kids, and believe each age brings their own fun adventure. I love getting creative with kids through crafts, games, educational fun, and outdoor play, and I’m happy to help with homework (have experience as a tutor), light cooking, and bedtime routines. I have a Husky of my own named Max and lots of experience with many dog breeds and cats as well. I can assist with walking, feeding, playtime, and giving your furry babies the love and attention they need. I also offer household help such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, organizing, and running errands. I can bring my own cleaning supplies if needed. I am an experienced pet sitter and have been taking care of animals for my entire life! I am great with dogs, cats, and other pets and can ensure they are taken care of properly.

I am a very nurturing, caring, experienced and reliable mom of two college age boys. I have always been passionate about children and especially love working with infants to age 4. I started babysitting when I was 15 years old and after college I was a full time nanny for a special needs infant. I was also a respite care worker (part time) and administered medication and assisted a quadriplegic woman with her exercises and daily routines. I was a preschool teacher for 11 years and also worked as a behavior therapist, for over a year, for children diagnosed with autism. As a preschool teacher I worked with all ages, but for 7 years I taught the 3-4 year old class at Bnai Simcha Preschool In Pasadena. I especially love children’s literature and always had a very creative and engaging classroom! I have a BA in Sociology and have taken 19 units in early childhood education. I recently renewed my CPR and First Aid certifiication. I took the last year and a half off of work because my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and hashimotos,, and I also wanted to be more available for my mom who is in the late middle stage of dementia. I look forward to working part time with 1-3 children and finding a family who is “a great fit.”

I am a 22-year-old who recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and I plan to start a respiratory therapy program this March. I am Mexican American and the youngest of seven siblings. I can cook basic meals, and I have a driver’s license. My interests include reading and trying new coffee shops. I also enjoy arts and crafts.

I’m a nursing student with previous experience working with children at a daycare center. I also have nieces and nephews, so I’m very comfortable caring for kids of different ages. I’m BLS certified, responsible, patient, and focused on creating a safe, caring, and fun environment for every child I care for :)
