Hello! Looking for work Summer 2026! Open M - Th afternoons/evenings, F morning - afternoon, 2nd week of June - Mid August. Looking for about 3-4 days of work. My name is Kirsten, I am 26 and I love working with children. I have been a ballet and creative dance teacher for ages 18mo-9 years old for the past 5 years. This past year I regularly babysat for a few families, including 3 year olds, an 8 year old, and babies/toddlers. I love entertaining kiddos and helping them develop social and emotional regulation skills. The parents I work with often compliment my patience and kindness. I am very creative and truly enjoy doing all the things children love to do. My favorite things are singing, dancing, drawing, and reading. I love to go to the park and on walks! I love to move. I am happy to help with some household tasks and errands. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified as of April 2025. I am comfortable working with pets as well. I am a biology major at SF state (concentration: ecology, evolution, and conservation). I will be taking summer classes from June 1st to mid August and am looking for gigs during this time. I have a bachelor's degree in environmental and ocean sciences from the University of San Diego and I recently started working as an office engineer in construction. I happily nannied part time for a family for the last two years while living here in San Francisco. Since taking on a new role in the office I can no longer meet their scheduling needs, though I still babysit for them occasionally and formed a very close bond with their girls. I love spending time with kids and I'm trying to make some extra money to save in addition to my office job. I'd love to take on occasional babysitting roles. Child care experience: I have 5+ years working with kids between the ages of 0-18 in educational and therapeutic contexts. I love playing sports, doing arts activities, exploring, & letting kids be themselves. I have experience cooking healthy, delicious meals, helping with homework, implementing bedtime routines, changing diapers, and helping out with chores. Senior care experience: I am someone who grew up spending time with my grandparents and great-grandmother, playing cards together, cooking steaks, riding horses, driving, and talking. I also spent a lot of time by my grandfather's bedside while he was passing away, helping him to be comfortable and to know that he was loved. Hi there! Thank you for taking the time and allowing me to introduce myself. I grew up with a large family surrounded by kids of all ages so engaging with young minds comes pretty naturally. I am also the daughter of a now retired teacher so life has given me plenty of opportunity to practice patience and seek creativity in how to educate and play. I am bilingual and do my best to incorporate that casually into my day-to-day dialogue and have a natural desire to keep kids engaged via educational games, activities, and sports. (I love ALL outdoor activities!) Before my current position as an executive assistant, I had been working primarily with two boys (were 4 and 7, now 8 and 11😮), and would regularly incorporate 2-3 other children (ages anywhere from 2-10) into our week.
