Hi! My name is Skyler, and I’m currently a student at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology with an interest in working with children. Before starting college, I took a gap year where I worked extensively with families as a nanny and pet sitter. During that time, I cared for children of many ages, helped with daily routines, supervised activities, assisted with homework, prepared meals and snacks, and provided dependable support to busy families. My gap year gave me valuable hands on experience, strengthened my communication skills, and confirmed my passion for working with children. In addition to childcare experience, I have worked as a camp counselor and have experience creating engaging, age appropriate activities that help children learn, grow, and have fun. I enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor activities, reading, animals and finding creative ways to keep kids engaged. My goal is always to provide a safe, positive, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and parents feel confident their children are in good hands!

I have been babysitting since I was a teenager. I also have a child myself. I am experienced in taking care of children in any age range. I have worked in ABA therapy and as a substitute teacher and para educator so I am also qualified to work with children with a range of disabilities. I am a psychology major and have a passion for helping others. I believe in a hands on approach when taking care of children and doing activities they enjoy to give them the best experience. I am allergic to animals so I unfortunately would not be able to help in home of pets.

I served as a nanny throughout my college years and am also a mother to three children, who are now in high school, middle school, and third grade. While I have experience across all ages, I find the toddler stage particularly rewarding as they begin to explore the world around them. I also find the infant stage to be a truly precious time. To ensure I can provide my undivided attention and the highest quality of care, I am primarily looking to work with a single family rather than participating in a nanny share.
