Dear parents, My name is Maja (pronounced Maya) and I'm originally from the Czech Republic. I just moved to Novato after living in San Francisco for the past 14 years. I'm a driver with a valid California DL and own a car with insurance up to date. I am a caring, responsible, trustworthy, patient, polite, positive, warm-hearted, fun, and outgoing person with a genuine love for working with children. I have experience caring for children of various ages and always strive to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids feel comfortable and supported. I enjoy engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, and educational games that encourage learning and creativity. I understand the importance of routines and am happy to help with meals, nap times, homework, and light household tasks related to childcare. I am reliable, punctual, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. Parents can trust me to communicate openly, follow instructions carefully, and treat their children with kindness and respect. My goal is to support families by providing dependable care while helping children grow, learn, and feel happy. Fully vaccinated.
“Maja watched our very active 19-month-old while our nanny was out and was awesome. She clearly loves kids and our son took to her right away. We would love to work with her again! ”
Hi- my name is Adriana. I am a biology graduate at SFSU and I am pursuing a career in Nursing. I have been nannying/sitting for over 8 years now and I have loved it ever since! I have cared for children from infant to teenage years and have gained tons of experience not only from working with children around my neighborhood but also from caring for my cousins and now nephews and niece! I love being able to play and be a kid again and learning new things from children as well. I love walks to the park, playing hide and go seek and even tag! I also like visits to the library and museum. I do ask for a 3 hr minimum payment for cancellations that are less than 24hrs, thank you!
“Adriana was so helpful with our 3 month old, extremely flexible and jumped right in to give her a bottle upon arrival. So grateful for her help! ”
Hello, my name is Luz! :) I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a major in Psychology, a minor in Early Development and Learning Science, and a Certificate in Business. My experience working with children began in 2014 when I started as a Teacher’s Aide at the YMCA. In 2016, I joined UrbanSitter and had the joy of babysitting for more than 50 wonderful families throughout the Bay Area while also holding various part-time childcare positions through the end of 2020. At the beginning of 2021, I earned my Behavior Technician certification and worked at Cortica as a Behavior Interventionist with children with Autism and other neurodevelopmental differences — an incredibly rewarding experience. During my time at UC Berkeley, I also worked as a Research Assistant in a developmental psychology lab, which deepened my love for understanding how children learn and grow. I’m licensed, and have a safe, reliable car. I speak English and Spanish fluently and am known for being patient, responsible, and genuinely caring. I love engaging with kids - whether that means creative play, outdoor activities, or helping with learning. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to psychology podcasts, personal finance audiobooks, and spending time outdoors hiking nearby trails. While away from UrbanSitter for a bit now, I’ve kept babysitting my younger sister (8 y.o now) and created a wedding planning business. I truly loved connecting with families and caring for their little ones - it was always such a rewarding part of my life and I can’t wait to feel that again! POLICIES Payment: Because I plan my time and budget around booked hours, I ask to be paid for the full booking, even if plans change or you return earlier than expected. Late Returns: I’m usually flexible with end times, but please text or call if you’ll be running late. I sometimes book jobs back-to-back, and communication helps me stay on schedule. Looking forward to meeting you & your little one(s)!
Hello dear families! My name is Daniela. FYI My middle name is Lucero :) not sure how to change my name on my profile for my first name Daniela but it’s still me! (Not available from the 27th through the 31st of January, 2025.) I’m from Colombia and I’m 25 years old. My native language is Spanish and I am fluent in English. I also completed 4 years of university in Colombia. I was studying a major in foreign languages French and English preparing to be a teacher. I am a very responsable, loving, patient, and organized person. I love spending time with children. I was an au pair for 2.5 years. I lived with a family in Novato, CA for 2 years taking care of her lovely daughter since she was 1.5 yo and I’m still in contact with them. Lmk if you’d like to talk to them as a reference. Also lived in Chicago for 6 months with a family of two kids ( toddler boy and 7yo Girl). I have a little sister, she is eleven years younger than me so I use to take care of her since she was a baby. I was able to feed her, play with her, do her laundry and change her diaper. I’ve volunteered in the past at a rural elementary school in Colombia helping children with class activities, assessment support, classroom preparation and behavior management. At university I did tutoring for 1st semester students in French and English. I was in charge of preparing a 1 hour class with activities and quizzes. That was actually fun, I felt like a real teacher. I was also part of the dance club back in high school and college, I love dancing!! My responsibilities have included: •Driving the kids to school, museums or playgrounds. •Pick up and drop off from/to school. •Making lunch or dinner for children. •Doing different activities like crafts, painting, and dancing. I Love doing art! And of course playing children’s favorite games or sports. •Help with homework occasionally. •Tidying up the children's room or playrooms. I’m very good at organizing. Looking forward to connecting with you <3 Best, Dani

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
