Dear families, I love being around children, and started babysitting when I was in high school. I’m a warm and friendly person you can trust to take good care of your kid(s). I foster creativity with children through arts and crafts, legos, dancing, playing music and playing games. My experience in caring for children is with infants through school aged kids. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified. I’m a non smoker with a clean driving record who lives a very healthy lifestyle I am interested in building long lasting relationships with families. My childcare expertise also lies in raising my daughter to become a successful and independent adult, and I do understand the challenges and rewards that parents face. I’m a graduate of San Francisco State University, where I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. I’m also able to help with homework, household chores and pet care. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, painting, reading and spending time with family and friends. Thanks for considering me! I’m looking forward to meeting you and your family soon.
***Update: Please message me for availability- the calendar on here is rarely updated. Thank you! :-) ************************************************************** Hello! I'm a Bay Area native and I was a childcare provider and nanny for over 10 years in San Francisco before I began my teaching certification program. I really enjoy working with families and still keep in close contact with the last family I worked with. In the past, I've also worked for the Y.M.C.A. as a coach and teacher for children in their camp program. I love doing arts and crafts activities, and going on outside adventures with kids to parks, museums (California Academy of Sciences is a great one!), and libraries. Most of my past jobs working with families were referrals from other families I worked with, so this is my first time using an online site to apply for positions. My certifications are in Special Education EC-12th grade, E.S.L. EC-12th grade, English Language Arts and Reading 7th-12th grade, and General Education EC-6th grade. While working on my credential I completed internship hours in an elementary school classroom working with children on the Autism Spectrum. My experience in the internship was so inspiring that I decided to make Special Education a focus in teaching. I'm taking this semester off from teaching so I’m mostly tutoring, but also available for occasional babysitting. I really enjoy babysitting because it gives me the opportunity to be creative, no matter what age the child is, with play and learning activities. As an Educator, I am passionate about incorporating play into education to make learning accessible for every child. My schedule isn’t usually updated on the app, so please feel free to send me a message inquiring about a date. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Reese
“Reese babysat our two kids while we went out for dinner and drinks. Reese was punctual and super friendly, immediately engaging with my kids. I felt like she had great energy and everything went well. We would definitely hire Reese again. ”
Hi moms + dads! I'll care for your child/children like they were my own. I love being around kids. My regular day job is financial analyst. It's a little challenging finding FTE job in this market however I'm super-resilient I am hoping to fill up my time working whilst earning extra income about something I enjoy! I grew up babysitting younger cousins. I can also cook + help with house chores + organizing. I'm punctual, very tidy so I'm always cleaning up after children/meals. I'm authentic, energetic, reliable + trustworthy, parents + kids love my company. Non-smoker, I'm committed to providing a safe, nurturing + stimulating environment for your kids to thrive in. CPR/First Aid certified. I speak fluent French + Mandarin (bilingual in Cantonese/English). I can help your kids if they're in the FI/CI programs after school hours. I used to do cat/house sitting for friends. In my spare time I volunteer for SF Ballet, do lots of yoga + dance (Bachata). I can provide excellent references upon request. *INTERVIEW POLICY* For in-person meetings/interviews, a paid hour of time will be requested. *SICK POLICY* If anyone in your household is sick, please let me know before the job begins! I will also do the same! *CANCELLATION POLICY* Please provide 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Cancellations with under 24 hours’ notice will be charged for full amount as originally booked. I won’t cancel unless absolutely necessary. I appreciate the same, as last-minute cancellation makes it difficult to schedule my time with other families. Thank you for your understanding!
Hello, Hola, Bonjour! My name is Sophia and I am a 33 years old childcare professional. My grandparents were from the Philippines and my grandma was from Staten Island, NY! With over 15 years of experience in childcare, including nannying, babysitting and work in preschool classrooms, I am passionate about creating a loving and nurturing environment for children. Currently, I work as a preschool teacher for a local school district. I have been working in a preschool setting for over 6 years and have been working with families as a nanny, babysitter and caregiver for over 15. I thrive on engaging children in a variety of activities, from outdoor adventures such as nature walks to creative pursuits such as building, painting and dramatic play. I believe in play based, child led environments. I love to observe, explore and facilitate children's development. I believe in meeting every child where they are and creating developmentally appropriate environments where they can thrive and grow. My love for travel and good food enriches my approach, exposing children to diverse cultures and experiences. In my early twenties I studied abroad which led me afterwards to be an au pair in both Germany and Switzerland. I am currently a student at the SRJC. I have my Associates degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and am currently in my last semester to attain my AA Degree in Early Childhood. I plan to transfer to Sonoma State and attain my bachelors degree in ECE. I am inspired by children and their development and love creating joy for the world around them as they grow. Some hobbies I enjoy in my free time include skating, outdoor hiking, dancing, skiing and going to explore the tide pools at the beach. In the past six years I have recently been apart of synchronized skating and theater on ice teams where I went to both national and international competitions. My background as a figure skater and dancer allows me to bring creativity and movement into my interactions with kids. Helping the younger generation of figure skaters on ice fueled my interest in working with young children. In addition to my teaching experiences off ice I have been a figure skating coach at Snoopy's home ice for over 5 years. I have taught a variety of on ice programs including toddlers on ice, group classes and school programs to a variety of youth ages!
“Sophia was amazing! Brought fun things for the kids and the house was spotless when I returned. Would love for her to come back! ”
