I've been babysitting children since I was 14, when I started watching over family friends' children. When I was 15 I started working at Strawberry Canyon Explorer Camp where I worked for 8 years teaching children ages 4-10. At camp I worked with kids one on one as well as in large groups. I've also spent years volunteering in local elementary schools. I love teaching and hope to be an elementary school teacher in a few years. I've primarily worked with kids ages 4-7 but have experience with older as well. I love bringing them outside and teaching them sports, as well as helping them with that tough math problem. In my free time I read a lot, especially comics, and dream about playing lacrosse again. Please note that I have no experience with children younger than 3. Hello, my life has always revolved around children. I worked with my local school district for over 20 years as a Chid Aide. The program was designed to improve a child's self-esteem and improve comfortability in a social setting. This was done through interactive play sessions where a child can truly be themselves. Apart from raising my own three children, I have also worked at a daycare providing a safe and educational environment for up to 12 children. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University where I earned a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in youth work and out of school time as well as a Minor in Africana studies. I also have a Masters (MA) in Drama Therapy at CIIS.
