Rebecca was raised in La Cañada Flintridge and has spent the last nineteen years supporting children’s health, development, and learning. Her childcare journey began at age twelve, when she started babysitting for families in her community—an experience that helped her build long-lasting, trusted relationships. She also provided low-cost tutoring to children who needed extra academic support, further strengthening her passion for individualized care. At seventeen, Rebecca began working at a local Montessori school with children ages 2–6, quickly growing into the role of Lead Teacher and managing her own classroom of toddlers and preschoolers. After five years, she opened her own Montessori program serving children from 6 months to 6 years old, giving her deep, hands-on experience with infant through early-childhood developmental stages. Rebecca attended UCLA, where she earned her Certificate in Early Childhood Education, and she is internationally recognized as a Montessori educator for ages 0–3 and 3–6 through the North American Montessori Center. She later graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Administration. In addition to her broad teaching and caregiving experience, Rebecca has worked closely with children with both diagnosed and suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder. She specializes in recognizing early signs of cognitive, behavioral, and speech delays and collaborates with the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center to help families access the services they need. Today, Rebecca brings her expertise, calm presence, and genuine love for children into the homes of families seeking a dependable, highly qualified babysitter. With strong communication skills, extensive developmental knowledge, and nearly two decades of childcare experience, she strives to create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments for every child in her care. **Willing to share my recent Yelp Reviews!**
Intro: Hi! Here are small tidbits about me! I'm a full-time student looking for part-time, weekend jobs to pay off my tuition. I speak both English and Spanish, the latter only at an advanced level. I grew up in San Diego and go back during the breaks. My hobbies include anything arts and craft related and tennis. Although I tend to be less outspoken as an introvert, I believe my good-naturedness finds a way to shine through. I value authenticity, integrity, and doing everything to the best of my ability! Experience: At the moment, I've listed everything as "no experience" because I have none in a formal setting. However, I have 3 younger sisters who I helped raise. Raised by a single mom, a lot of my life has revolved around taking care of them. With the youngest being 9 years younger than me, I'm familiar, albeit rusty, with infant and toddler care, but I'm well experienced with taking care of elementary school children to pre-teens. Curly haircare ( type 3) and homework help make up my most recent skills related to childcare. Regarding pets and taking care of elders, I have no experience there, but I'm 100% willing to learn.
Hi, I’m Michelle! I’m an experienced nanny and household assistant who has cared for children of all ages (from newborns 4 days old to teens). Through UrbanSitter, I’ve worked with 15+ families, completing 100+ bookings that have included recurring schedules, 8+ hr shifts, overnights, travel support, and last-minute care. Families value my ability to smoothly manage siblings and multi-age groups while keeping routines balanced and fun. I try to be a calm, reliable presence as well as flexible and communicative. I support children’s daily routines while keeping them engaged in meaningful play and activities. I like to offer choices so kids feel heard while staying within safe, supportive boundaries, and I aim to keep days active, balanced, and screen-free. I love arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, and hands-on activities, and I’m also happy to incorporate Spanish into daily routines! My style is adaptable, and I’m happy to follow each family’s preferences! I’m glad to help with errands, driving, and household tasks, and I’m also available for travel, events, and backup care. I’m CPR/First Aid certified, a safe driver with two Evenflo Revolve car seats (can be rear or forward facing), and comfortable caring for pets as part of the family’s routine. Whether you need regular care, date nights, travel support, or a reliable backup, I’m here to help and make things easier for your family!
“She was absolutely amazing! Our 2 year old daughter warmed up to her right away and even kept talking and asking about her for the following couple of days. She handled dinner and bedtime routine without any issues and even left our house nice and tidy. Would highly recommend Michelle and will definitely be hiring her again.”
Greetings families :) I was born and raised in the Philippines where I gained experience teaching children basic reading, writing, drawing, and conflict resolution during high school. I have been in the US since July 2011. I graduated from Santa Monica College with high honors in Early Childhood Education in June 2019. I earned my BA in Child Development from CA State University Long Beach with Magna Cum Laude honors in Fall 2021. I've gained practicum experience at the Growing Place Ocean Park and Marine Campus which both hold the same philosophy I believe in - constructivism. Through this lens, children learn best through play - based on their interests and engagement, which encompasses a broad spectrum of academic subject matter including science, math, arts, and problem solving. Play also presents the opportunity for children to develop prosocial behavior and self-regulation among peers, necessary to succeed not just in academia but in life. I am also a firm advocate of respectful, responsive, and reciprocal care wherein children are valued with consistency. They are human beings capable of learning through trial and error - born with a drive to engage in the scientific method to reach their own conclusions about the world around them. As a caregiver, it is not only my responsibility to support their development by extending their interests through scaffolding but also follow their parents’ lead with methods and philosophies at home. I have also gained experience at Early Head Start Programs in addition to working for Edgewater Preschool, West Hollywood Preschool, and Westside Children’s Center. I have a current BLS certification, clean driving record/background, and would be willing to take any drug test. I also have up to date immunizations and a negative TB test. Moreover, I am a happy mother of a 5-year old active boy! Growing up, I learned how to play the guitar and drums, how to dance ballet, act in theater plays, and defend myself through Aikido. During my free time, I enjoy surfing, hiking, walking, cooking, cleaning the house, and reading. I also like to paint, draw, and write whenever I can. Now that I have my son, I enjoy playing with him outdoors! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am open to care for your child at my home, if you have the need. Of course, you are welcome to visit before care is booked. I look forward to being of service to your family. Thank you! Warm regards, Buhay (boo-hi)

Work experience: I have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. I spent more than four years as a preschool teacher, where I worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. I also worked for over three years as a behavior therapist, supporting young children on the spectrum. Most recently, I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family for nearly three years. Throughout the years, I have also babysat for many families between full-time positions. Currently, I run my own daycare, where I provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. My experience includes working in classroom settings, providing 1:1 support and caring for multiple siblings in a home environment. I enjoy creating fun, educational and age-appropriate activities while maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere. Working with children is truly a joy. They remind me every day to appreciate the little moments while learning, growing and having fun together Availability: I’m currently available for occasional babysitting jobs, primarily on weekends and weeknights.
