I absolutely love kids at all ages, and I’m a sucker for new borns! When I was young, I used to babysit all of the neighborhood kids and get nanny jobs with close friends, neighbors, and family. I am a black belt in karate and used to teach the toddler class after school. My instructor chose me because the kiddos loved me! As a single mom with my oldest (who is now 19), and him having life threatening asthma from birth, I was very hands on and hyper attentive to his needs. Being the sole person responsible for his care, medication, routines, and lifestyle activities within his capacity, I was very patient, loving, and supportive with him physically, mentally, and emotionally. It wasn’t easy but I loved being there for him and I still do! I have an almost 4 year old toddler now and I’m very hands on with him as well. As a certified Life Coach who specializes in emotional care and regulation, I work with mom’s and families to heal relational trauma and help them to create healthy dynamics between the parent and children, as well as helping mom’s especially build deep connections with their kids and find healthy ways to manage meltdowns and tantrums through connection vs correction and harsh punishments. It is a deep passion of mine to work with families and offer support through nanny services as well as creating a peaceful home environment for everyone in the household. I am a mental health therapist (LCSW) looking for part time/date night/weekends jobs to supplement my income and connect me back to the joyous work of supporting youth. I am adventurous, empathetic, responsible, and proactive. I am 30 years old and have been working with kids and pets since I was probably about 14. I have worked as an after-school nanny, completing school pickups and activities, as well as a babysitter fo a variety of ages. I worked as a mother’s-helper for a mother who had twins, supporting her with household cleaning and meals, as well as taking care of her 3 year old daughter. Previously, I worked as a behavior therapist for kids with autism and as a paraprofessional in an elementary school for kids with behavioral and developmental disabilities. Last, my most fun position was as an adventure camp counselor leading kids on various outdoor activities and camping trips. I have a lot of experience! In my free time (and if I can overlap it with work) I love to spend my time outdoors snowboarding, hiking, camping, biking, hanging in the park or walking my dog. I'm very active and love to stay busy and aim to encourage play, adventure and calm in the kiddos I work with. I also have lots of experience caring for dogs (and cats a little). Currently, I have a 7.5 year old german shephard/husky mutt and have dog-sat for many people. Last, I have a reliable car that I don't mind driving kids in to and from activities.
