Hi! I’m Simona, a sophomore at the University of Tampa, where I’m an Honors College student majoring in Criminology. Working with children has always been something I genuinely love. I’ve been babysitting and serving as a camp counselor since I was 14 years old, and for the past two years I’ve also been teaching swim lessons to children of all ages. With over five years of experience caring for kids, from infants and toddlers to school-aged children and teens. I have worked with children of many different personalities, abilities, and needs. Hello! I am currently studying for medical school and am working as a scribe full-time, but am looking for some extra work hours. I recently graduated from USF with a Master’s degree in public health. I have my BS in psychology/pre-med from Northwestern University. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old when I received my safe sitter license. I am certified in CPR as a certified nursing assistant and lifeguard. I have watched children of all ages and abilities, and really value all that I have learned from them. Outside of watching children, I have skills in communication, cooking, tutoring, and cleaning.

I go to college at University of South Florida and I am in school to become an elementary teacher! When I was in middle school up to my sophomore year of high school I would volunteer at my old daycare and was a teacher assistant. I am very passionate about becoming a teacher and working with children is my favorite thing to do. I loved playing with and creating lesson plans for the younger children and it inspired me to become a teacher.

I come from a family with two younger siblings and two older siblings, so I’ve always been around and comfortable caring for children. I’ve also volunteered with children through dance and community programs. Living on my own for the past year has helped me become very responsible and independent, especially with cooking, cleaning, organizing, and managing multiple tasks at once. I’m outgoing, kind, patient, and dependable. I’m comfortable keeping children entertained while also making sure they are safe and supervised. I’m able to multitask, stay calm when things get busy, and complete responsibilities in a timely and safe manner. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish and am comfortable caring for children of different ages and personalities.
