Hi! My name is Lisa. My full time career is as an art teacher in a selective enrollment high school here in Chicago for the last 30 years. I teach Honors and AP Sculpture and Best Buddies Art. I love babies and kids of all ages! I'm looking for some occasional baby sitting during the summer. I am allergic to dogs, but love cats. I have two adult children of my own. I have my own car and can drive. I'm also fluent in American Sign Language.

I am from the west side of Chicago and I have been taking care of children since I was a young teenager. I have worked with a company for a little over 2 years, working with kids who attend school. I can help with chores around the household, homework, or any other tasks that will create a comfortable space. I own a dog and know why or how a task involving a dog will be handled. If I have questions I communicate well with the guardians and able to figure out the situation.

As a nanny with six years of experience, I am confident in my ability to provide excellent care for your children and contribute to your household in a variety of ways. I would love to find a family that needs requiring Friday evening sittings. I would love to help a family unwind from a chaotic week and enter the weekend with well rested children and a clean home. After spending some time playing with the kids and feeding them dinner I will assist your children with their bedtime routine. After the children are asleep I will spend the remaining hours cleaning and tidying the home. I feel it is important for a home to be clean so the family can function as smooth as possible. My passion for seeing children grow into caring, creative, and fun individuals is what drives me to be a nanny. I have been fortunate enough to work with children of varying ages, from infants to pre-teens, throughout my career. In my previous roles, I have always strived to create a sate and nurturing environment for the children in my care, while also encouraging their growth and development through play and educational activities.

I have been babysitting/nannying for about 12 years and I love working with kids! I have a Masters in Education and working to get a second Masters degree, and I have other relevant childcare experience from working at a preschool as well as a K-8 summer camp. I am a crafty and creative person, so I love doing art projects and playing outside! I also have experience pet-sitting and house-sitting.

Growing up my grandma owned a daycare and I would help her take care of kids and plan arts and crafts time for them. I also have recent experience over the past 2 summers of working at a stay away camp looking over multiple different age groups of kids over the age of 6 full time. After my first summer I was promoted to leader of my cabin group and have learned to keep things together, better my communication, and still keep kids happy! Pets wise, I have 3 cats and a dog so I know how to manage!
