Hello! My name is Aysha. I’m an undergraduate at DePaul University pursing a psychology degree, but outside of that and I’ve been working in childcare for 3-4 years. Since high school (2019) I’ve been tutoring children ages 12-18 from everything from algebra to trigonometry and even some language classes. Directly after graduating from highschool I’ve worked as an assistant teacher for It Takes a Village Family of schools where I was an assistant teacher/after school mentor for 3rd and fourth graders. Here’s where I recovered most of my early childhood learning credits as well as where I became CPR/First Aid Certified and received certificates for working with older youth. Due to commuting times however, I decided to work in more part-time daycare positions. That were more college schedule friendly. For around a year now I’ve been working in daycare facilities through an app called Tandem. Working with smaller children comes more naturally to be (being an eldest of 5) and toddler-aged children and I follow of routine/pattern which I find works well with my natural abilities. Through tandem I also took classes in preventing sudden infant death and shaken baby syndrome. By working with Tandem I am also required to be consistently up to date with my TDAP, COVID, and Flu vaccines. Outside of childcare I would call myself very math/science inclined. Currently I’m a statistics tutor at DePaul but I’m also a French minor and would love to share my love of language/culture with your child. But I’m also a big fan of arts/crafts, including painting/drawing, so whatever your kid is into, I’m sure we can find common ground in some way. My plan after college is to become a child psychologist so this is all really in my field of interest! Overall I consider myself a very dynamic caregiver with a lot of experience and ambition and potential to improve. And if chosen, I would love to be an addition to your family’s dynamic or even just help to lighten your load on a date night. Please ask me for my reference list or inquire more, I’m always happy to share!
“Aysha is great to work with. She is very punctual, responsive in her communication. She keeps our daughter very engaged with reading, painting and other forms of art (which she's very good at!). We would highly recommend her. ”
Hello! I’m Michelle, and I recently moved from New York City to Chicago. I bring over 3 years of experience as an Emergency Room nurse, where I gained valuable skills in patient care, safety, and attention to detail. Before becoming a nurse, I spent many years tutoring and babysitting children of all ages, starting at the age of 13. In addition to babysitting, I am happy to help with household chores, cooking, and cleaning. I can also provide care for seniors, using my medical background to offer an extra layer of support and safety. While I don’t have a driver’s license, I am reliable, responsible, and always ensure a high standard of care. I look forward to helping your family with both child care and household needs!
Hi, my name is A’Raya’ and I ama current sophomore at CSU. I’ve been babysitting children under 1, toddlers, and school aged kids since I was 10-12, starting with my family. I love cooking, art, reading/writing, board games, and writing. I would be able to help with homework and tutoring, meal times, cleaning, and creative activities. I am CPR and AED certified and planning to get my Child Development Associate. I love working with kids and have since worked at two summer camps ranging from ages 4-13. I have taken care of my own for 4 years, including: dogs, cats, fish, and a turtle.
Hi there! My name is Emily and I am originally from the Quad Cities but have been living in Chicago for the past 2.5 years after graduating from the University of Kansas. I have experience babysitting and part-time nannying children of all ages. During prior jobs I loved coming up with creative activities, going on neighborhood walks, and playing games in the park. I am also comfortable taking care of animals. I grew up with a dog and I have a cat of my own. In my free time I enjoy sailing on Lake Michigan, reading anything from thrillers to memoirs, and painting what ever is inspiring to me in the moment.
Hello! My name is Mary Kate, and I would love to be your next babysitter. I have experience working with school-aged children as both a camp counselor and a tutor, so I prioritize creating an environment that balances learning and fun. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and as a creative person, I love incorporating art, imagination, and hands-on activities into playtime. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan and am currently taking a gap year before attending graduate school. During this time, I’m working full-time as a Student Success Coach with AmeriCorps and am especially interested in supporting families on weekends. I’m easygoing, reliable, and flexible, and I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
