I’m a non-smoker, fully COVID-vaccinated and boosted, and I prioritize safety and reliability in everything I do. Caring for children has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been a paid babysitter since my teens, am the oldest of six siblings, and spent 10 years as a Girl Scout leader—planning activities, leading overnight camping trips, and even international travel! While a GS leader, I maintained annual infant/child CPR and First Aid certification for a decade. Families describe me as punctual, dependable, calm, and creative. I love doing crafts, imaginative play, and reading. I’m always happy to help with meals and leave your space clean and organized after our time together. I have a standing commitment with another family on Sunday mornings but am available weeknights and most weekend days and evenings. Hi, my name is Kati! I have been working with kids and pets for 12 years. I am currently in the process of going back to graduate school for Occupational Therapy, hoping to work in the pediatric sector. I just finished a summer internship with a pediatric occupational therapy clinic where I learned about developmental milestones, sensory needs, and helping kids communicate, as well as a variety of other skills! I currently provide part-time after school care to three children, so I have a good amount of flexibility and availability for daytime coverage, and date nights. I have also provided after school nannying for a family in Cincinnati for two years and a one other family in Chicago for three years. I have provided childcare to dozens of other families across the city, including for school closures, childcare gaps, and date nights. I’ve worked in the childcare part of conferences and weddings multiple times. I was a camp counselor for a theatre camp for two years leading ages 5-18 through a variety of activities. I live on the northwest side of Chicago with my grumpy senior dog. I am more than happy to help you and your family with homework, cleaning/chores, or meals. I'm also an animal lover and comfortable helping with most pets.
