I am in New York City for the summer in the middle of my MSW program at Simmons University. I have extensive experience working with children in a variety of capacities (school counselor, teacher assistant, afterschool assistant, ABA assistant therapist, school social work intern, babysitter) I am a somewhat recent graduate from Boston College with an Applied Psychology and Human Development B.A. I am currently pursuing my MSW at Simmons University and am looking to help families with occasional or part-time babysitting, pet sitting, or other services. Kids are fantastic to work with. They have fantastic imaginations and a beautiful enthusiasm for so many parts of life. I love having the chance to hear about their favorite cartoon, sing along to their favorite Disney songs, and see the amazing ideas they come up with. I'm happy to play with kids, but I also take it seriously when there are rules they need to follow. Eating healthy snacks. Brushing their teeth. Going to bed. Those rules may not be things kids always want to do, but don't worry. I'll follow your schedule to a T. After all, kids also need the structure (and clean teeth) that come with less-fun habits. I am also experienced and capable at providing support for seniors, pets, or with numerous household tasks. I follow schedules well, pay attention to my charge's needs, and keep an eye on all the important details in my work. For seniors that means listening and treating them with respect. For pets it's paying attention for any mischief while caring for them. And for household chores, I just take pride in making sure I leave my workplace properly cleaned and organized. I really like and generally have a very good rapport with most children (toddlers, especially) and have experience baby sitting and taking out for entertainment events several generations of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & nephews, Enjoy reading, theatre/dance/music concerts and cultural events/venues, stories & re-enacting characters with and for children. I've worked in the past at the Wheelock Family Theatre and have worked as costumed characters in holiday events, especially (e g. X-Mas Elf at Filene's and Macy's; Mouse King in Boston Ballet Nutcracker promos, etc. Also, I'm a dog-lover .... have a good "rapport" with them, too. Many dogs I don't know will approach me for friendly attention while being walked. It appears - like children - that they have a "sixth sense", too. I'm also able to take on occasional office-support, general cleaning, and small special projects. I work PT and remotely from home in B2B sales and marketing. As my schedule can be somewhat flexible, I occasionally have open times for baby sitting, generally in the late afternoon, evenings, on some weekends, and - when remote work is slow - sometimes earlier in the day on weekdays.

Hello! My name is Susannah and I work as a Child and Adolescent Therapist in the greater Boston community. I have been working with children in various capacities since I was 13 years-old and being with kids is truly my greatest joy and passion. Childcare history: Over the last 15-20 years, I have worked with kids through running a daycare center, working as a camp counselor, working in afterschool programs, nannying and babysitting for families, and now each day in my professional work! I am kind, creative, playful and silly, while also understanding the need for firmness and boundaries when the moment calls to keep things running smoothly and safely for all! I am the caregiver who is more likely to take your child(ren) to the park or to a local museum than plop them in front of the TV. I am thoughtful to engage the kids that I work with in activities that will stimulate them and help them work toward developmental milestones appropriate for their age . You can often find me hanging with a kiddo reading a book, playing music, or going for a scavenger hunt around the community to count all the colors we can find. Pet care: Aside from children, pets are my greatest love. 4 years ago I adopted a dog and understand how important it is to find someone to care for your animal like they are your own while you are away from them. Happy to be the sitter who plays fetch in the backyard or local park, or simply curls up on the couch for some snuggles! As a Mom to a reactive/anxious pup, I am comfortable working with animals who may have some "quirks" to their behavior. Further, I have experience with medication administration for cats and dogs.

Hi there! My name is Jonny and I am an undergraduate student at Boston University studying psychology with interests in mental health research and child psychology. I live on campus in a beautiful brownstone apartment and I spend most of my time studying or with friends. I am offering child, senior, pet, and house care services. I have experience working with inner-city Boston kids (ages 8-12) at the Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures camp, where I learned how to connect with kids with all different kinds of temperaments and personalities. My responsibilities there ranged from helping kids with arts and crafts to conflict resolution when kids were having tough days with one another. I enjoy doing any activities that seem to best engage the kids, whether it be playing games, reading with them, or singing along to songs. I have also been a peer tutor at the high school and university levels, with competency across maths, sciences, english, and social sciences, with some basic french and spanish language skills.
