My name is Alyssa, I have had the pleasure of working with children for over a decade now, since 2010. In my professional journey, I have served as an assistant director and currently hold the position of a lead teacher in a PreK classroom. I take pride in my qualifications, as I am Director certified, CPR/First Aid certified, and have a strong background in Reggio Curriculum. I have had the opportunity to work closely with numerous families, including one that I have been with for the past 10 years, initially meeting through care. com. I am seeking an afterschool babysitting position where I can continue to engage with children outside of the traditional classroom setting. Im interested in taking children to and from afterschool activities, planning exciting outdoor adventures, and providing homework assistance and support with any other afterschool tasks. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like more info or if you are interested in discussing potential opportunities.
Hi there! My name is Jonny and I am an undergraduate student at Boston University studying psychology with interests in mental health research and child psychology. I live on campus in a beautiful brownstone apartment and I spend most of my time studying or with friends. I am offering child, senior, pet, and house care services. I have experience working with inner-city Boston kids (ages 8-12) at the Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures camp, where I learned how to connect with kids with all different kinds of temperaments and personalities. My responsibilities there ranged from helping kids with arts and crafts to conflict resolution when kids were having tough days with one another. I enjoy doing any activities that seem to best engage the kids, whether it be playing games, reading with them, or singing along to songs. I have also been a peer tutor at the high school and university levels, with competency across maths, sciences, english, and social sciences, with some basic french and spanish language skills. I have cooking and cleaning skills and spent time taking care of my grandparents in England. I come from a cat family, but I love all animals and pets!
Hi! I’m Funmbi 😊 I’m a graduate student at Boston University School of Medicine, and I’ve always naturally been someone who takes care of others. I’m the oldest of five siblings, so a lot of my experience started at home-helping out, staying organized, and being someone my siblings could rely on. I’ve also worked with kids of all ages through my church’s children’s and youth ministry, so I’m comfortable stepping in whether it’s playtime, helping with homework, or keeping a routine going. I also volunteer in my community and plan to attend medical school, so being dependable and attentive really matters to me. I’d describe myself as calm, patient, and easy to be around. I try to meet kids where they are, whether they’re energetic, shy, or just need someone to listen. I also worked as a Patient Care Assistant, which helped me become even more attentive, responsible, and aware when it comes to safety and making sure people feel comfortable and supported. I also love animals (especially dogs) so I’m more than happy to be around pets too. I’m happy to help with homework, meals, bedtime routines, or just keeping kids engaged with fun activities (and yes, I’m definitely the type to build forts or play games with them 😊). Overall, I just aim to create a space where kids feel comfortable and cared for, and where parents feel at ease knowing everything is in good hands.
Hi there! My name is Abbie , and I’m a college student living in Boston, Massachusetts, in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. I’m currently a junior at Suffolk University, studying Criminal Justice and Law. One of my lifelong passions has always been helping others and caring for the people around me. I’m originally from Portland, Maine, where I spent years babysitting for several families all throughout school. I absolutely love spending time with kids; playing, learning, and helping them grow. Most of my experience is with children ages 0–4, but I’m comfortable and happy to work with kids of any age. I typically babysit 2–3 children at a time, mostly in the afternoons and evenings. I’d describe myself as kind, lighthearted, responsible, and a little silly. I love bringing fun and laughter into any situation! My babysitting experience has taught me how to stay calm and confident when handling meltdowns or stressful moments, and I truly see caring for children as a privilege. In addition to childcare, I also have experience dog- and cat-sitting, both during the day and overnight. I’m looking forward to connecting with families who could use an extra helping hand.
“Our 4 year old son keeps requesting Abbie. She's been absolutely wonderful with him and we're having her take care of him multiple times per week. Highly recommend!”
Hi! My name is Paola and I’m a recent Master’s graduate beginning my career as a pediatric psychotherapist while working toward independent licensure. I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. I have over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages. I’ve been babysitting since I was a teenager, worked as a preschool teacher during summers in undergrad, and currently work as a pediatric psychotherapist with kids ages 2-18. I especially love working with younger children and have a strong interest in early childhood development. I’m originally from Puerto Rico and am bilingual in English and Spanish. I enjoy engaging kids through play, crafts, reading, and other creative activities, and I strive to create a warm and supportive environment.
