Kids are fantastic to work with. They have fantastic imaginations and a beautiful enthusiasm for so many parts of life. I love having the chance to hear about their favorite cartoon, sing along to their favorite Disney songs, and see the amazing ideas they come up with. I'm happy to play with kids, but I also take it seriously when there are rules they need to follow. Eating healthy snacks. Brushing their teeth. Going to bed. Those rules may not be things kids always want to do, but don't worry. I'll follow your schedule to a T. After all, kids also need the structure (and clean teeth) that come with less-fun habits. I am also experienced and capable at providing support for seniors, pets, or with numerous household tasks. I follow schedules well, pay attention to my charge's needs, and keep an eye on all the important details in my work. For seniors that means listening and treating them with respect. For pets it's paying attention for any mischief while caring for them. And for household chores, I just take pride in making sure I leave my workplace properly cleaned and organized. Whatever it is you need, I'm glad to help!
Hi my name is Ashley, I am a 1st Dental Student living in Boston. I am offering childcare and pet sitting services. I have been CPR certified for over 5 years. I love babysitting! I have been caring for children since I was 8 years old. I enjoy playing games, tutoring and keeping kids busy. I am open to pet sitting small - medium sized dogs as I have been a dog mom for the past 10+ years.
Hi! I’m Funmbi 😊 I’m a graduate student at Boston University School of Medicine, and I’ve always naturally been someone who takes care of others. I’m the oldest of five siblings, so a lot of my experience started at home-helping out, staying organized, and being someone my siblings could rely on. I’ve also worked with kids of all ages through my church’s children’s and youth ministry, so I’m comfortable stepping in whether it’s playtime, helping with homework, or keeping a routine going. I also volunteer in my community and plan to attend medical school, so being dependable and attentive really matters to me. I’d describe myself as calm, patient, and easy to be around. I try to meet kids where they are, whether they’re energetic, shy, or just need someone to listen. I also worked as a Patient Care Assistant, which helped me become even more attentive, responsible, and aware when it comes to safety and making sure people feel comfortable and supported. I also love animals (especially dogs) so I’m more than happy to be around pets too. I’m happy to help with homework, meals, bedtime routines, or just keeping kids engaged with fun activities (and yes, I’m definitely the type to build forts or play games with them 😊). Overall, I just aim to create a space where kids feel comfortable and cared for, and where parents feel at ease knowing everything is in good hands.
As an older sibling of three, I have been taking care of little ones since I can remember. I babysat neighbors and family friends since I was 14, and have worked with children of all ages in school-based settings throughout high school and college. I grew up with dogs and cats and am familiar and comfortable taking care of furry friends as well. Currently, I am a Master's of Social Work student at Simmons University and work at a group home with teenagers. I am very comfortable around kids of all ages and can be kind, playful, and compassionate while reinforcing expectations. I have experience working with youth with complicated mental health diagnoses and complex needs, as well as neurodivergent kiddos. I am also extremely clean, able to take care of house plants, and love to cook! In my free time, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, and crafting, and I enjoy being creative with the little ones I watch. I also love being outside and active! :)
Hi there! My name is Abbie , and I’m a college student living in Boston, Massachusetts, in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. I’m currently a junior at Suffolk University, studying Criminal Justice and Law. One of my lifelong passions has always been helping others and caring for the people around me. I’m originally from Portland, Maine, where I spent years babysitting for several families all throughout school. I absolutely love spending time with kids; playing, learning, and helping them grow. Most of my experience is with children ages 0–4, but I’m comfortable and happy to work with kids of any age. I typically babysit 2–3 children at a time, mostly in the afternoons and evenings. I’d describe myself as kind, lighthearted, responsible, and a little silly. I love bringing fun and laughter into any situation! My babysitting experience has taught me how to stay calm and confident when handling meltdowns or stressful moments, and I truly see caring for children as a privilege. In addition to childcare, I also have experience dog- and cat-sitting, both during the day and overnight. I’m looking forward to connecting with families who could use an extra helping hand.
“Our 4 year old son keeps requesting Abbie. She's been absolutely wonderful with him and we're having her take care of him multiple times per week. Highly recommend!”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
