Hi, my name is Jea! I’m a childcare provider based in Arlington, VA, currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have extensive experience working with children through teaching, camp counseling, and my current role as an RBT supporting children and young adults across a wide range of ages and needs. I provide childcare for infants through teens (0–17) and focus on creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged. I enjoy a mix of educational and fun activities such as reading, creative play, outdoor time, crafts, and helping with homework and daily routines. Hi! I'm Lisa. I'm a dedicated, energetic, and personable mom of four who has been raising my family for the past 11 years - my children are 4, 6, 9 and 11. As the third oldest of eight, I have a lifetime of experience with babysitting, bonding with, and helping children. I don't shy away from household work, either! I am looking to get back into the workforce in a capacity that both suits my own schedule and allows me to highlight my strengths. In addition to my practical experience of being a mom and running a household, I have past experience in the professional workforce. Those jobs have included office manager, administrative assistant, file clerk, and similar positions. In each of my past jobs, there has been some element of at least some of these skills: organizing; maintaining and at times devising filing systems - both digital and traditional; maintaining calendars/schedules; training co-workers; writing manuals. Writing, proofreading, and editing are great strengths of mine and ones I enjoy utilizing. I have previously cared for others' children, as well as been a dogsitter and cat sitter. Understanding the demands of parenthood (and adulthood in general), I also understand the demands of family life. Need light housework, laundry, reorganizing/cleaning spaces, or other such tasks in your home or office? Lessening the weight of these loads will allow you and your family to function better. (I have a great interest in highlighting and growing my organizing talents!) Hi! I'm Ellie, a graduate student at American University with a passion for working with children and animals. Growing up as the oldest of five siblings with four younger brothers, I've always been surrounded by kids and have developed a natural ability to connect with them. I've spent the past several years working in various childcare and youth program roles, from managing an after-school elementary program to coordinating middle school activities through the Parks and Recreation department of my hometown, Kalamazoo Michigan. I love creating engaging, educational experiences for kids while ensuring they feel safe, heard, and excited to learn. I offer comprehensive childcare, petcare, and household services. This includes everything from babysitting and tutoring to dog walking and pet sitting, as well as light housekeeping, meal preperation, grocery shopping, and running errands. I've also handled exotic animals like turtles, snakes, bearded dragons, and even alligators, while working for an alligator sanctuary! Having recently moved to the DC area from Michigan, I'm excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to local families who need caring support.
