Hello families! My name is Claire Guthrie. I am currently living in Idaho, but will be moving to D.C. in June for school. I am going to school for early childhood development, I will be doing classes online and will be attending part time. I am looking for an amazing family to work for as a nanny. I have about 1 1/2 years of experience at a daycare. I worked mostly with toddlers and infants but got a ton of experience with school age children as well. I currently work as a nanny for 18 month old twin boys. I’ve been working with them for 14 months, and enjoyed every moment of it. It breaks my heart to leave, but I need to further my career and get an education. I need to work full time to keep up with living expenses and ask for at least $25 an hour considering I am living by myself, and going to school as well. I am also open to date nights and other babysitting jobs as well! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thanks, Claire
I've been working with children since I was 16, I'm 19 years old. At 16 I did small babysitting jobs and after school was a regular nanny to 2 kids, (3 and 4). I worked at a local daycare when I was 17 to 18. I helped looked after 11-16 children daily from the ages of newborns to 9 year olds. Now I'm an assistant teacher at a learning center/daycare, I take care of infants(newborn to 1 year olds) to 4 year olds. Usually assist take care of 16-23 two year olds, 6-13 three year olds and 9-15 four year olds daily. Children love me and I love them! I'm patient, love interacting and playing with children. I'm a clean person (will do light cleaning), I can food prep, make bottles, change diapers, assist with feeding etc. Can help with small learning skills, managing behavior and potty training. Good with nighttime routines and can read bedtime stories. I also have CPR, first aid and AED certifications.
Hi, I'm Dina! With a degree in psychology and tons of hands-on experience being around kids, I know how to keep them entertained and learning at the same time. Whether it’s crafts, playtime, or helping with homework, I love creating a fun and safe environment for little ones. I’m responsible, patient, and full of energy. I’ve got a soft spot for pets too, so your furry family members are in good hands! I’m reliable, patient, and ready to bring some extra joy and support to your family’s routine. From keeping the house organized to meal prep, I’m here to make life easier for your family while bringing lots of smiles and laughter.
I’m a thoughtful, empathetic person with a deep appreciation for nurturing and care. Outside of my professional career, I’ve always had a natural fondness for children and families. I believe that caring for someone’s home or loved ones isn’t just a “job”; it’s a responsibility rooted in respect, trust, and understanding.
“Nadia is such an amazing and calm person. My children love her and always look forward to seeing her. She involves the children in different play activities with minimal to no screen time at all. We trust her with the kids and know that they’re in good hands. We are glad to have met her!”
My name is Sofia and I am a third year Urban Elementary Education major at Howard University. I absolutely love children and am super grateful to be studying and maturing my work full time at Howard. Back home in Connecticut, I have worked summers at an urban childcare facility for 6 years caring for infants-5th grade. I also supplemented my high school career with babysitting, working after-schools at the local YMCA, and assisting special-needs students. I love working with all children, but am gifted working with seniors, special-needs adults, and most animals as well.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
