Hello, my name is Julia and I currently work as a Substitute Teacher and Pet/Housesitter in the DMV. I am looking to expand my client base and serve more families in the area. I am offering pet care, child care, senior care, and household services. I have a masters degree in Childhood Education and have worked as a Substitute Teacher for more than 8 years, in three different states (NYC, WA, MD). I have another masters degree in Recreation Education & Therapy and have worked in therapeutic and commercial recreation for many years, including at summer camps and even for Disney Cruise Line. I am also interested in providing companion care with seniors, as I love hearing elders’ stories and wisdom, and providing them with good company. I used to host recreational programs with seniors at assisted living centers, including improv comedy, creative writing and discussion groups. Hi, my name is Nekisha I have always had a passion for children ever since i was little having my stuffed animals and playing teacher giving them different names and of course pretending that i was the teacher. I am currently going back to school for my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and will be moving on to getting my bachelors degree in early childhood education as well so that i can become a pre kindergarten teacher in public schools i currently do work now at a childcare center where i am the lead Teacher and i do work with 2 and a half to three years olds currently. On my free time i do like to color as well as watch tv and play video games and also spend time with family and friends as well!

Growing up in a large family meant that I always was intimately acquainted with just how intense and rewarding it can be to raise children. Even though it can be chaotic at times, seeing the world through new eyes is exciting. As such, for all of high school, I babysat children from the ages of 3-10, taking them to after-school lessons, making dinners and spending time going on adventures! In addition, I also tutored in a local elementary school, assisting technology classes and helping students with beginner coding and typing skills. As a university student currently, I have continued to tutor in math and reading comprehension for students aged from 5-17.

Hi! My name is Maylani, and I am entering my junior year of college studying Public Health Science. I’m looking for a seasonal summer babysitting position and would love to support a family that needs help during the week and/or weekends. I have experience babysitting for families in my neighborhood after completing Safe Sitter training, and I have also worked as a gymnastics coach for school-age children since the summer of 2023, a role I continue to hold today.
