Hi I'm Morgan! I'm 24 years old and just graduated from nursing school. I'll be studying this summer to take the licensure exam but I'm hoping to babysit while I do so. I come from a big family of seven and have always enjoyed being around kids. I worked in a child care center and a sitter in high school, and also volunteered for a year at Dell Children's Medical Center. I have babysat for families since I was 16 with their ages ranging from newborns to school-aged. I've decided to get into sitting again because of the flexibility it provides for my schedule, and I'm hoping I can be of service to yours as well.

I am a nurse practitioner (current practice owner) who never had children of my own and have always wanted them. I have medical experience beginning at Children’s Hospital in DC on their behavioural psychiatry unit, my nursing internship was a Cambridge hospital on the pediatric behaviour program. After becoming an NP in 2005, I spent several summers as a camp nurse at the Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD. I have also worked with their 4 year olds for aftercare and substituted in the baby room when needed. My other experience includes being the lead NP at JHH on their Meyer 6 unit for 4 years and some time in the Anesthesia department. Working with children has been my most fulfilling work. My extensive care of children in various situations should make any parent feel confident in choosing me as a caregiver.

I have a strong background in caregiving, supported by both my education and hands-on experience. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which has given me a deep understanding of emotional development, communication, and how to support individuals with patience and empathy. In terms of experience, I have worked with children in both structured and informal settings, helping with daily routines, play, and emotional support. I’m comfortable managing different age groups and understand the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. I also have experience assisting with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and organization, which helps keep things running smoothly for families. My personality is one of my biggest strengths as a caregiver. I am patient, dependable, attentive, and compassionate. I take the time to understand each person’s unique needs and adjust my approach accordingly. I’m also very responsible and communicative, so families can feel confident that their loved ones are in good hands. Additionally, I am comfortable around pets and can assist with basic pet care, including feeding, walking, and providing attention.
