I’m good at keeping kids engaged with all kinds of activities, from getting active outside, to getting creative with arts and crafts projects, and working on homework. Mom to 2 amazing kids in elementary school. Three years of experience as an au-pair and nanny before becoming a parent. Experience volunteering in elementary school and preschool as a teacher aide. I love being in nature, playing with kids outdoors, dancing to silly songs, reading, baking, and making art. I practice positive and peaceful parenting, focusing the connection between child and their caregiver. Serving children and families is my passion. As an immigrant and a mother who started raising her children without "the village", I'm deeply in touch with the unmet needs of families with young children in the US. I am passionate about supporting families with what they need to thrive and succeed- childcare, social-emotional supports for parents, and engaging the family with the community. I’m pursuing a graduate certificate in maternal and child health and planning a career change from research in public policy to child therapist.

In the past decade I've dog cared for dogs old and young, social and antisocial, and those between homes. In order to give each pup the unique care and experience they deserve, I primarily care for pups one at a time, and only those with whom I can form a genuine bond. Lunchtime and after work walks are my favorite, 1-2x/wk. Regularly scheduled care is preferred. I am fully employed but work from home, and so have flexibility. Whether you have a yard, live in an apartment, or need your pet crated, your pet will always be safe and sound in my care.

Nice to meet you! After receiving my Bachelor's in Psychology with a specialization in Child Development, I moved back to the DC area to be closer to family. Between my undergrad work programs and my current job, I've been working in a teaching capacity with children for about 6 years now. Currently, I'm employed full time as a associate teacher at a DC preschool. This experience provides me with lots of benefits that I then get to share with my babysitting families! Some of these benefits include child CPR certification, easy meal times (I've supported all sorts of kids with different dietary and motor needs), comfort with managing siblings, and a willingness to embrace the toughest bedtime routines.
