I have loved caring for children for as long as I can remember, and with over 15 years of experience, supporting and nurturing kids has become a true passion of mine. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and have worked in a variety of healthcare settings, which has strengthened my ability to provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care. I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT), giving families added confidence in my skills and reliability. I am a nurse practitioner (current practice owner) who never had children of my own and have always wanted them. I have medical experience beginning at Children’s Hospital in DC on their behavioural psychiatry unit, my nursing internship was a Cambridge hospital on the pediatric behaviour program. After becoming an NP in 2005, I spent several summers as a camp nurse at the Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD. I have also worked with their 4 year olds for aftercare and substituted in the baby room when needed. My other experience includes being the lead NP at JHH on their Meyer 6 unit for 4 years and some time in the Anesthesia department. Working with children has been my most fulfilling work. My extensive care of children in various situations should make any parent feel confident in choosing me as a caregiver.
