Hi Families, I may be new to this app, but I am definitely not new to child care! I got my first job at a child care center in Rosemount when I was 16 years old working in the infant room. I worked there for a year and a half, then spent a year in the toddler room (changing more diapers than I could possibly count). I continued to work there while I was in college, and became the “lead teacher” of the preschool room! During this time I spent two summers nannying for a family that had two identical twin four year old boys, and an 8 year old girl two-three days a week. I also had countless babysitting jobs on the weekends! I eventually had to leave my kids at that day care when I was 20 years old because I got a job at the university of Minnesota’s Child Development Center working with the 4 and 5 year olds. I also was involved in a research project called Chicago Longitudinal Study promoting early education for low income neighborhoods around this same time. I graduated with a Developmental Psychology degree (also knows as Child Psychology) and began my Masters program in Clinical Social Work with a speciality in family and children. I now work at a elementary school in Hennepin county as the school therapist for the children! I’m looking to use my experience to make some extra money to pay off some of the student debt. I’ve always loved working with kids, and I have the experience and education to back it up! I have experience with all ages, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have! I’m willing to negotiate on pricing depending on the situation.
Hi! My name is Yasmiin. I recently graduated with a degree in Public Health and have always loved working with children. In addition to my professional experience mentoring youth, coaching, and caregiving, I have been blessed to help raise and live with my niece and nephew, who are now 5 and 7 years old. Being actively involved in their daily lives has taught me so much about patience, creativity, communication, and creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. I am responsible, dependable, and caring, with experience supporting children of different ages and personalities. I enjoy planning fun activities that keep kids engaged, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor adventures, reading, and educational activities. I also enjoy helping with homework, preparing simple meals, maintaining routines, and assisting with light household tasks when needed. My background in caregiving and crisis intervention has strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure, solve problems, and prioritize safety. Families can count on me to be attentive, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in their children’s well-being. My goal is to create a fun, positive, and supportive experience where children feel comfortable, encouraged, and cared for. I would love the opportunity to support your family and build a meaningful connection with your children!
Hi! I’m a reliable, calm, and experienced caregiver with a background in working with kids and supporting families. I’m also a mom, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust in your home. I have experience with school-age children and teens, and I’m especially strong with homework help, organization, and keeping kids on track in a positive, low-stress way. I’m patient, engaging, and good at explaining things in a way kids actually understand. I’m happy to help with light household tasks, errands, and keeping things running smoothly while you’re busy. I also enjoy being active with kids, whether that’s getting outside, doing creative activities, or just making sure they feel comfortable and supported. Families would describe me as dependable, easy to communicate with, and someone who genuinely cares. I’m flexible and available for last-minute or occasional needs as well.
