My name is Cassia. I have a strong background in education and childcare, with experience working as a teacher in Mexico, Singapore, and the United States. I have worked with children from age 2 through middle school. I am also a mother of two, so I bring both professional and personal experience. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I am responsible, patient, warm, organized, and caring, and I enjoy creating a safe, positive environment where children feel supported. I can also help with pets and provide loving, reliable care for them. I am comfortable supporting elderly adults with kindness, patience, companionship, and respect, always making sure they feel valued and cared for.
Hi! I'm Olivia. Thanks for visiting my profile. A little about me: I have 15 years of experience as both a full-time and part-time babysitter. I started babysitting in 2011, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 33 and a freelance writer and editor. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. My experience ranges from newborns to 14-year-olds, with every age in between. I especially enjoy sharing my love of books & reading. I love chatting with kids, answering their (hilarious/profound/thought-provoking) questions, and playing their favorite off-screen game. I was born in Manhattan, and I grew up in North and South Florida. Outside babysitting, I worked as a substitute teacher while attending grad school. From 2[removed], I was a full-time teacher at a private school in Florida, where I taught fourth grade reading, writing and science. I am skilled in social-emotional learning (SEL) and working with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Levels I, I, and III; OCD; and ADHD. I am also skilled in helping kids cope with anxiety, anxious thinking, or anxiety-related behavior patterns. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends, and kayaking. I also have an M.F.A. in fiction writing, and I love talking to both kids and adults about books and writing! Some other helpful info: I am comfortable with pets and light housework/pet care. I am not comfortable babysitting children who are not feeling well/sick/contagious. Please let me know ahead of time if this becomes the case!
I am a part-time college student at the University of Maryland in College Park. I have years of experience working with children as well as engaging with them outside of a professional setting. I have 2 young nieces (10 and 8) whom I often babysit, drive to and from activities, and keep busy at home while my brother is working. My prior babysitting experience also includes neighbors, children of friends and family, and other relatives. I grew up a dancer so as soon as I became old enough, I was student teaching classes for pre-schoolers and eventually taught some classes on my own. I have worked individually and in groups with ages 3-16. I can confidently say I know how to best meet the needs of all ages while maintaining a fun and playful environment.
“Kate started babysitting my son Connor when he was roughly 2 (he’s 6 now) and she is his favorite person. Kate was a student of mine at the dance studio from the time she was 7 or 8, and I watched her grow into an extremely responsible, confident, reliable woman for the last 15 years. I highly recommend Kate as a babysitter, and look forward to the times she is visiting her parents so she can watch my son!”
Hi- My name is Olu, and i’m currently a freshman in college and work as an assistant teacher at a daycare in Madison, where I’ve been for about a year. In my role, I supervise playtime, lead simple learning activities, help with meals and naps, and make sure the children are in a safe, supportive environment throughout the day. I’ve been working with kids since I was about 13 and have experience with children of different ages, though I have the most experience with kids between the ages of 1 and 6. Working with younger children has helped me develop a lot of patience and attentiveness, and I’m very comfortable helping manage routines while still making sure kids are having fun. I’m CPR certified and always prioritize safety and communication with families. I enjoy doing different activities with kids such as reading, crafts, games, and outdoor play, and I usually adapt to what the children are interested in so they feel comfortable and engaged. In addition to supervising and playing with the kids, I’m also happy to help with basic caregiving tasks like preparing simple meals and helping with bath time when needed. Families often describe me as dependable, calm, and easy to communicate with, and I look forward to the opportunity to support your family and provide a safe, fun environment for your children.
Hi! My name is Rida, and I have over 5 years of babysitting experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I’m a patient, responsible, and trustworthy caregiver who enjoys creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for every child. I love keeping children engaged with arts and crafts, reading, games, outdoor play, and homework help when needed. I’m also happy to prepare simple meals, assist with nap time, keep play areas tidy, and help with light household tasks related to the children. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are in good hands, and I always prioritize safety, kindness, and open communication. I look forward to supporting your family with dependable, loving care.
