Hi! I’m Georgia, a graduate student at Columbia university. I’m offering child and pet care services. I have been professionally babysitting for ten years, but as the second oldest of six children, I have been caring for kids my entire life. My experience ranges from picking up children from school, supervising outdoor activities and outings, preparing meals, putting to bed, and occasionally overnight stays (the longest being one week). I also have many years of experience as a summer camp counselor and a children’s surf camp head counselor. Im comfortable taking care of kids of any age, however I have the most experience from ages 2 and up. I’m patient, energetic, and love keeping kids active and engaged, while also being comfortable setting clear boundaries and expectations when needed. I love any and all animals (except spiders) and would be more than willing to work with families with pets.

Hi parents :) My name is McKenna and I would love to babysit for you! A little bit about me, I am originally from Kanas City and went to college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In high school and college, I babysat frequently for multiple families as well as worked at a daycare for six years. During my time at the daycare, I cared for children 6 weeks old to 10 years old. I received my Master's in Elementary Education and am certified to teach K-6. During my graduate year of college, I completed a year-long internship and student taught in kindergarten, third-grade, and sixth-grade classrooms. Since moving to New York, I have taught as a lead teacher in a two year old classroom at a daycare, nannied over the summer, and taught third grade for two years in the Bronx. I am currently a fourth grade teacher at a public school in the UWS. I love pets and am great with art, activities, cleaning, laundry, schoolwork, etc.

Hello! I’m Naomi, a recent college grad from NYU and someone who loves spending time with children. I received my BFA in Drama and Film from NYU, so I am quite the creative person, and love doing dramatic play, music, and various world-building activities with younger children. Throughout college, I became increasingly interested in childhood development, and took many Childhood and Adolescent Mental Studies (CAMS) classes. These classes allowed me to learn more about the early development process in infants, children, and adolescents, which further my interest in early childhood education. I worked with Jumpstart while I was at NYU - a program that provided preschool aged children in underfunded schools more opportunities to learn reading and comprehension skills. I worked as a Corps Member, but learned the most as a Team Leader my senior year. As a TL, I worked with a team of corps members to plan session plans, find engaging ways to interact with children and increase their reading and comprehension skills, guide trainings and reviews of best practices for storybook readings and vocabulary lessons, and much more. I lead team meetings, prepared different effective activities, and fostered a positive learning environment. This being said, I do have a lot of experience working with 3-5 year olds in an educational setting, but also have worked with families with children ranging from 1 year to 10 years old. I myself am also an aunt to my lovely niece and nephew, and watched over them from when they were infants until them now being 3 and 1 1/2, respectively. Currently, I am the Lead Babysitter at Chelsea Piers Fitness in Flatiron. I love going on walks, doing activities, arts and crafts, and finding different ways to engage with children. I can also do light housekeeping and prep snacks/meals.
