Hi! My name is Sierra, and I am a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of The Arts Drama program (2024) with experience with caring for children from 1-10 years of age in the past. I’m now a professional actor and filmmaker on top of providing childcare. I have previously worked as a tour guide for my hometown's history museum which worked primarily with school groups. Thus, I have a lot of experience with large groups of elementary aged children. I have also performed children's theatre in the past. I am proud to be from a teaching family—with family members who work in the Department of Education in CA, public school teaching, and are professors at top universities around the world. Similarly, I have provided ACT and SAT English instruction in the past for high school students and scored a 34 in English and a 35 in Reading on the ACT. Including my theatre experience, I also speak Mandarin (intermediate). My hobbies include film photography, cooking (I was an apprentice at a two-star Michelin restaurant), hiking, exploring historical sites, and studying philosophy. I believe in the importance in helping nurture a child's empathy and their skills to later be a fully functioning adult. I believe that it is more important than ever for children to be able to express themselves and have someone to listen to them. I would be happy and honored to be someone who can help your child feel heard. I hope that in turn it would inspire them to be someone who reaches out to others as well.
