I live in Brooklyn with my spouse and our dog (spaniel mix) and currently teach Kindergarten at an independent K-12 school in Manhattan. With the school year ending June 12th I am looking for part time tutoring or babysitting work June 12th-June 17th. June 18th my spouse, dog and I leave for New Hampshire for the summer before returning in August.

Hi! I have always loved kids and started babysitting when I was 11 years old. Up until I had my daughter in 1998, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t doing some kind of work with kids: Interning in high school (Learning to Read Through the Arts, after school counselor ), volunteering (New York Foundling Hospital), assistant teacher (5 years at The Jewish Guild for the Blind early intervention program), sewing/craft instructor (home based classes). I had my daughter in 1998 and stayed home with her while caring for another child twice a week when she was small. I starting babysitting on Urban sitter to supplement my income while working on creative projects before deciding to go back to school. I completed my degree as an occupational therapy assistant and have rejoined Urban Sitter while looking for full-time work and am hoping to pick up the occasional babysitting job when I am working, as well. I am an artist at heart, love music (play a bit of guitar and sing) and truly enjoy young people. I am available on an as needed basis (date nights, filling in when your regular sitter is out, etc.) and my hours are very flexible. Hi, thank you for taking the time to check out my profile! I graduated from college in 2024 and am currently working full-time at a law firm. I have lots of experience working with children (infants as young as 2 months old to 11 years old) whether it be through nannying, volunteer organizations, summer camps, and in the classroom. Currently, I babysit for one year old twins (have been babysitting since they have been four months!) and two toddlers that are four and two. Lastly, I grew up swimming competitively up until my senior year of high school (and have coaching experience) so am also comfortable at the swimming pool.
