Hi families! I am a mom of 2. One is a toddler and the other is 18 So I am patience-tested & approved! I spent several years as a stay-at-home-mom while volunteering at kid's school and occasionally substitute teaching. I previously worked as a "Teacher of Speech & Hearing Handicapped" in NYC public schools and an Early Intervention therapist and a special education preschool teacher in Florida. I have a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a Master's degree in Applied Research. I got sidetracked reentering the workforce with a breast cancer diagnosis but now I am cancer free and ready to work! I've met other urban sitter caregivers at my local library and I think this would be a great fit! I am a voracious reader and also enjoy finding new children's books with the perfect amount of text and simple illustration - However I love kids reading anything appropriate. I also love exploring the city and finding interesting events to attend always on the lookout for family friendly events. I am very hand's-on and enjoy playing with my own son whether it's building train tracks or playing hide & seek. As my infant days are over- rocking a baby to sleep would be a treat yet a fussy baby I can handle! So please go out, recharge and rest assured your precious child is in good hands.
