Hello! I’m Alexis, everyone’s favorite auntie! I’ve been taking care of my family and friend’s kids since I was in elementary school. My first babysitting job was when I was in 4th grade. I’ve worked with children of all ages. I was a field hockey coach to middle schoolers and high schoolers in my early 20’s. Currently, I’ve been an eldery caregiver to both my parents, one, was sick with lung cancer. Im also, currently, working on getting my teaching english as a foreign language certificate.

I began working with children initially in 2011. I started as an assistant to a Taekwondo sensei (Now known as Johnny Karate on Court Street) when I was a junior black belt. From 2[removed] I worked in Kids Orbit After School Program based in Brooklyn New York, and their summer program Park Slope Day Camp where I worked for 3 summers (2 as a supervisor). Within those 3 years with Kids Orbit/PSDC, I was a Taekwondo Specialist, worked their after school program as a counselor, and worked in public elementary schools as a recess employee. During this timeframe I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors degree where I majored in psychology and Children and Youth Studies (3.94 GPA). I began babysitting for 1 family exclusively for 4 years from approximately 2014-2018 in Carroll Gardens. I worked with a 7 year old girl and 4 year old boy until they turned 11 and 8 respectively. In 2018, I had to leave that babysitting opportunity as I began working with the Administration for Children Services as a Child Protective Specialist (CPS) and their hours were demanding. I worked there until 2022. I have not worked with any children since 2022, but am now a State employee and I have over 11 years experience in the field. I am looking to pick up some part time hours, or 1 family I can work with consistently.

Hi! I'm a nurse who's currently looking for intermittent baby-sitting for date nights, errands, emergencies, etc. I've been a NICU nurse for 4 years and prior to that was a full time nanny for 5 years. I also babysat throughout most of middle school, high school, and parts of college. Most of my recent experience is from newborn to three years of age, but I do have experience with older children as well. I love infants and toddlers because they have such wonder and awe for the world around them and it's a special experience to watch and engage with their development and growth. I'm gentle, engaging, empathetic, and sympathetic in my care and avoid screen time when with the children. I love taking children to parks, museums, play dates, etc., but also just as happy to play games and read stories at home. I won't be able to have regularly scheduled gigs as my work schedule changes week by week, but would love to find a family or families to develop a longer term baby-sitting relationship with, as I feel continuity is better for both the children and the carers. Hi! My name is Laura and I am so excited to get to know you and your children. I have 20 years of babysitting experience, starting when I was in middle school. I also work a 9-5 job in marketing, where I’ve built a 10-year career, but miss spending time with kids! I offer early morning and evening/night care on the weekdays, as well as anytime on weekends, for kids age 1 and up. I have extensive babysitting experience with kids ranging from six months to teenagers. I also have an almost two-year-old niece, who is just the best and has taught me so much. I love watching kids learn and also have 6+ years experience as a math and science tutor from my high school and college days, so am eager to offer my expertise there as well. I am also CPR-certified. I also offer pet care for cats. I don’t have one of my own but I have taken care of many friends’ cats when they are out of town and love the chance to snuggle and play whenever I can get it! I am also happy to help out with other household duties as needed, like grocery shopping, other errands, and organizing the apartment.

I started babysitting at 14 and have worked in childcare since then. I worked at a summer camp for five years, and have also have been a full time swim instructor for children ages 2-12. I have done private lessons and continued babysitting throughout. I love working with kids and enjoy watching them learn with a smile on their face!
