Hi! I'm Olivia. Thanks for visiting my profile. A little about me: I have 15 years of experience as both a full-time and part-time babysitter. I started babysitting in 2011, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 33 and a freelance writer and editor. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. My experience ranges from newborns to 14-year-olds, with every age in between. I especially enjoy sharing my love of books & reading. I love chatting with kids, answering their (hilarious/profound/thought-provoking) questions, and playing their favorite off-screen game. I was born in Manhattan, and I grew up in North and South Florida. Outside babysitting, I worked as a substitute teacher while attending grad school. I am skilled in social-emotional learning (SEL) and working with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Levels I, I, and III; OCD; and ADHD. I am also skilled in helping kids cope with anxiety, anxious thinking, or anxiety-related behavior patterns. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends, and kayaking. I also have an M.F.A. in fiction writing, and I love talking to both kids and adults about books and writing! Some other helpful info: I am comfortable with pets and light housework/pet care. I’m a mom of a 5 year old son!The last Children I babysat for called me the best caregiver they've ever had reason being, we always managed to stay active and keep busy by doing arts and crafts playing outside whatever it might be. Previously I worked in a daycare I've always had a passion for watching children! My number one thing is safety keeping your child safe is so important to me I will keep them safe as if their my own! I also like communication to know whats going on and nobody is wondering anything such as checking in once a day or sending a picture to show what were up to during the day! Hi! I'm a mom of 2 children (both mid 20’s), from Eastern Europe and have been a nanny/household manager/chauffeur for over 25 years on and off. I enjoy being outdoors, singing songs and truly enjoy working with small children (I miss when mine were that age!). Most of my friends refer to me as the child whisperer because somehow I'm always able to make children laugh and smile. I’m currently looking for a family, preferably for afterschool care and am able to drive (my license is clean and I’ve been a driver for over 20 years). I am a great cook and do not mind cooking for your children. I also don't mind running simple errands and will do very light housework (picking up after kids/laundry). I can drive children in both my car or a parent’s car and am CPR certified. Policies: *I have a 4 hour work minimum policy which means that I must be booked and paid for at least 4 hours. I require full payment for the time I am booked regardless of when you are home. **Cancellation: If you cancel within 48 hours of scheduled start time I require 50% payment, 24 hours I require full payment.
