Hi! I’m Georgia, a graduate student at Columbia university. I’m offering child and pet care services. I have been professionally babysitting for ten years, but as the second oldest of six children, I have been caring for kids my entire life. My experience ranges from picking up children from school, supervising outdoor activities and outings, preparing meals, putting to bed, and occasionally overnight stays (the longest being one week). I also have many years of experience as a summer camp counselor and a children’s surf camp head counselor. Im comfortable taking care of kids of any age, however I have the most experience from ages 2 and up. I’m patient, energetic, and love keeping kids active and engaged, while also being comfortable setting clear boundaries and expectations when needed. I love any and all animals (except spiders) and would be more than willing to work with families with pets.
“Georgia is fabulous. She cared for our daughters (now 5 and 7) on multiple occasions and we trust her completely. She is professional, reliable and loved to play and create with our girls! We wish she still lived near us (we are in California) and we miss her!”
Hi parents :) My name is McKenna and I would love to babysit for you! A little bit about me, I am originally from Kanas City and went to college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In high school and college, I babysat frequently for multiple families as well as worked at a daycare for six years. During my time at the daycare, I cared for children 6 weeks old to 10 years old. I received my Master's in Elementary Education and am certified to teach K-6. During my graduate year of college, I completed a year-long internship and student taught in kindergarten, third-grade, and sixth-grade classrooms. Since moving to New York, I have taught as a lead teacher in a two year old classroom at a daycare, nannied over the summer, and taught third grade for two years in the Bronx. I am currently a fourth grade teacher at a public school in the UWS. I love pets and am great with art, activities, cleaning, laundry, schoolwork, etc.
Originally from San Francisco, CA, I have more than 10 years of babysitting experience. During college, I also worked as a camp counselor for a few summers! I have experience with a wide range of ages, from infant to pre-teen, and am also able to help with homework, cooking, and light housework. I am currently in graduate school, and I am patient, creative, and kind. In my free time I enjoy knitting and visiting museums!
“Georgia had great communication and arrived early. She was fantastic caring for our baby and he had a great time with her. I recommend her as a babysitter!”
Hi there! I'm a 40 something-year-old Brooklyn resident, dog owner, and lifelong animal lover looking to care for your pets while you're away. My own rescue dogs have taught me a lot about patience, routine, and reading what an animal needs even when they can't tell you directly — from an anxious wait by the door to a happy tail-wag greeting. I know that handing your pet over to someone else, especially while you're traveling, can bring up a lot of worry: Will they get enough exercise? Will someone notice if something's off? Will I get updates? As a frequent traveler myself, I've been on both sides of that anxiety, and I take it seriously. I'm primarily interested in short-term dog care, with a 2-night minimum preferred — long weekends, extended trips, or overnight stays in your home or mine. I'm comfortable with multiple dogs if they're used to each other, and happy to administer medication as needed. I work with dogs at every life stage. I have hands-on experience with puppies, including the consistency and patience that early training and routine-building require, as well as with senior dogs and end-of-life care, where comfort, gentleness, and close attention to changing needs matter most. Whatever stage your dog is in, I'll approach their care with the same warmth and attentiveness. You can expect me to be reliable, communicative, and genuinely attentive — I'll follow your routines, send photo/text updates, and treat your pet with the same care I'd want for my own. If you're looking for someone calm, experienced, and trustworthy to look after your furry family member, I'd love to help.
“Isis is a reliable, consistent pet sitter. We've loved working with her and hope she is always available for us!!”
Hello! My name is Clara, and I'm currently staying in the NYC area for the fall semester completing an art residency. I am offering child care, animal care, and help with household tasks. I am open to caring for children 3+ years. I usually work part-time at a youth art nonprofit teaching kids 18 months to 12 years of age, and I have also worked with kids as a martial arts instructor and academic tutor. I enjoy spending time with kids making art, reading books, playing music or sports, and cooking together. I come from a big family, but do not have children myself yet! I have helped many of my friends raise wonderful kids over the years. I am comfortable transporting children between school, scheduled activities, and the home. I am CPR and first aid certified through the American Heart Association. For pets, I am open to leash trained dogs up to 100 pounds, all cats, rabbits and other small mammals, ferrets, and reptiles. I am open to puppies and kittens but would prefer to discuss first! In college, I worked several jobs in animal care including vet assisting, dog walking/training, and exotic animal adoption. I am trained in animal first aid and comfortable administering medication including subcutaneous injections. I am also available for errands including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and household management. I am a great cook, home baker, very organized, and a pro at budgeting. I do not have a car while staying in the city but am happy to do errands via public transit. I have a clean driving record if using your car is something that is necessary. I like to say that I am a jack of all trades because I am willing to try anything, and if I like it, I won't stop until I improve. I would like to use my skills to help make your day feel a little easier!
