Hii! I am Helia, and I am a student at Pratt Institute. I love children, and growing up I helped out a lot with taking care of family friends' kids, which included watching over them and playing and crafting with them. I also have a lot of experience working at children's language classes as a teacher's assistant. I have worked for both summer camps and weekly few-hour classes. These jobs mainly include assisting with outdoor activities, feeding the children, and making sure they are all safe throughout the day. The ages of the children usually vary between 6 and 14. I also have some experience volunteering at a kindergarten for a summer, where I had similar tasks to the language classes, except these children were between the ages of 3 and 6. I offer pet care as well, which I have a lot of experience in due to growing up as a pet owner myself. I have a cat and a dog, so I am comfortable with both. I am also fluent in both Hungarian and Farsi, so I am comfortable working with those languages. I also speak elementary German, Korean and Japanese.

I’m a 20 year old college student looking mainly for weekend work/ part time to help pay for school. I don’t have much paid experience but I have lots of personal experience. When I was younger my mom was a nanny and I was always her little assistant helping out with the kids she looked after ranging from ages 1-8. I also have a niece that I look after every now and then who just turned 4. Lastly throughout the week I work as a pediatric dental assistant so caring for kids comes naturally! I love working with children, seniors, infants and animals and have been involved in service and care work for over 50 years. Though I am a senior myself, I am full of energy and enthusiasm. My passion for teaching, children and 🎶 music lead me to get involved with the Music Together program. I also have training in infant & adult CPR and have teaching certifications in Music Together and Trauma- Informed Yoga & Mindfulness. I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga Therapist and have taught Family Yoga. Senior Yoga & PreNatal Yoga for the past 25 years @ the local Prospect Park YMCA up until COVID. My work experience has given me the opportunity of working @ Berkeley Carroll School as well as public schools in the NYC metropolitan area.
