Hello Parents! Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Amanda! I am a part time college student in my third year, studying animal science. As a New York Native I know how to navigate through the MTA system and the neighborhoods of each borough. I am CPR/First Aid Certified. I am currently available for part time work, occasional care, one time jobs, date nights, and holidays. One of my passions is caring for children, and animals. I have over 10 years of babysitter/nanny experience with children of all ages. Although, I’m pursing a degree in animal science, caring for children is something I’ll always continue to do. I love getting to know children, watching them grow, and supporting their important milestones. Along with my childcare experience, I have 9 years of experience working as a pet sitter. My dream is to open a pet care, and babysitting company. Why not both! I have been caring for children since the age of 12. I started babysitting my younger brother at a young age, as I grew older I transitioned into caring for my younger cousins, and working as a babysitter/nanny. In addition, I have experience caring for children with ADHD, ADD, & Anxiety. In the early summer of 2019 I worked for Camp Shiloh as a Camp Counselor in Training. I was a fellow camper myself there for several years, and I currently am a mentor under their youth program Hi-Def. A fun fact about me, I love Harry Potter, and comic books. Some of the fun things I love to do with children are making art, building blocks, engaging in activities around the city, read books, dancing, baking, playing board games, going to parks, sports, playing with toys & more. In my free time I like to swim, skateboard, listen to music, learn new things, write, and ground myself in nature. Children love me as their babysitter because I’m empathetic, open minded, committed, and pretty funny 😊 Booking Policies: - Due to safety reasons, after 10:30 pm I request a Uber/Lyft home - 3 hours minimum booking - In the event you come home early, I still require full payment. - If the job is cancelled within 48 hours, I require 50% of payment as a cancellation fee. Your child’s safety is my upmost importance, and of course having fun. I hope you as well as your loved ones are doing well, and staying safe during this transitional time. I look forward to hearing from you. References can be provided.
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by :) I’m Jessica, a seasoned childcare provider with 15+ years of experience caring for infants through school-age children across NYC and New Jersey. I’m CPR certified for infants and children, trained in child development, and very familiar with the realities of parenting—from separation anxiety and bedtime routines to big feelings. I’m a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and previously studied fashion design at Pratt Institute. Creativity is central to who I am; I’m always drawing, sewing, or painting. I’ve taught sewing to 3rd–5th graders in after-school programs and led group childcare events through Project Playdate, so I’m comfortable caring for multiple children at once. My experience includes infants and toddlers, children with food allergies, and those with special needs (including Autism and Cerebral Palsy). I’m patient, kind, and respectful of each family’s routines and parenting style. I strive to create a calm, safe, and imaginative environment where children feel seen, supported, and cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones.
“Jessica was great. We would use her again. ”
Hey families! I’m Nia, 22 years old from The Bronx. For work I am a teacher’s assistant working my way up to become a full time teacher! Working with kids gives me a sense of purpose. I love being able to give advice to a young mind who is building their way up in the world or just being a friend and someone they can enjoy their time with. I am a pretty lively and active person with lots of energy to keep everyone happy and entertained :). The ability to connect, and teach are at the core of my work along with the mental well-being of the children I work with. I hope to share these values with the families I meet in the near future. <3
“So sweet, energetic, communicative, and my boys loved her! Will have her back!!”
Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I was the outdoor teacher and leader of an inclusive forest group consisting of 5-7 children aged 4-10 years old. Upon moving to the USA in 2017, I worked as a teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and absolutely ❤️ it. In the summer of 2022, I worked with kids in Ukraine+Poland, primarily teaching or working with mothers and babies. I've been working with runaway homeless youth at places such as The Door and The Ali Forney Center for the past several years. Working with kids has always brought me joy and kept me grounded during hectic times. I nannied during undergrad and, while I have experience with children of all age ranges, I have primarily worked with infants and babies during their first year of life. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit. As a nanny, I'd describe myself as relaxed, punctual, reliable, flexible, confident, reasonable, communicative, consistent and dedicated. I very much enjoy working with families of different backgrounds, and I am absolutely LGBTQ+ family-friendly, being part of one myself. I can provide references and am happy to answer any further questions. I'm vaccinated and CPR trained. ⭐️ When I'm not nannying, I am playing soccer, going for a run, cheering on the WNBA+ NWSL, going out with friends or staying in with my books.
“Isabelle was great. On time, asked thoughtful questions and kept us updated on how our girl was doing. ”
I currently work for a family taking care of two young girls. My responsibilities include picking them up from school, preparing them for bed, and cleaning/cooking. I love my job as each day I learn something new and relearn to view the world though a child's point of view. Previously, I worked transporting kids of special needs in the yellow school bus. I as well have experience working as a home attendant with children and senior citizens for four years. I am also a single mom of two daughters. One is a nurse and the other one is studying in college. In addition, I ,myself, am studying in college working to get my GED and associates degree for medical assistant. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and sewing. I am a friendly and patient person and love taking care of others.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
