Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I was the outdoor teacher and leader of an inclusive forest group consisting of 5-7 children aged 4-10 years old. Upon moving to the USA in 2017, I worked as a teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and absolutely ❤️ it. In the summer of 2022, I worked with kids in Ukraine+Poland, primarily teaching or working with mothers and babies. I've been working with runaway homeless youth at places such as The Door and The Ali Forney Center for the past several years. Working with kids has always brought me joy and kept me grounded during hectic times. I nannied during undergrad and, while I have experience with children of all age ranges, I have primarily worked with infants and babies during their first year of life. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit. As a nanny, I'd describe myself as relaxed, punctual, reliable, flexible, confident, reasonable, communicative, consistent and dedicated. I very much enjoy working with families of different backgrounds, and I am absolutely LGBTQ+ family-friendly, being part of one myself. I can provide references and am happy to answer any further questions. I'm vaccinated and CPR trained. ⭐️ When I'm not nannying, I am playing soccer, going for a run, cheering on the WNBA+ NWSL, going out with friends or staying in with my books.
“Isabelle was great. On time, asked thoughtful questions and kept us updated on how our girl was doing. ”
Hi! I'm Kelly. I have 20+ years of childcare experience with specializations in infant care and autism care. I hold a BA in English from UNCG and an MA in literature from CCNY. My favorite thing to do with children of all ages is share my love for reading. I have 4 years of teaching experience including ADHD executive functioning coaching and teaching English at the undergraduate level. I work in non-profit communications.
“Kelly was so great with my 3 year old and 7 month old and was able to put both kids to bed on her first visit with us while we went out for date night. Our 7 month old was pretty fussy and she was able to manage everything like a pro! Would 100% book her again for babysitting. ”
Hi I'm Hannah!. I'm a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, experienced sitter looking for a part time, weekend or occasional evening gig. I work in theatrical and live events. When not doing so, I support kiddos and their families. I am a licensed driver but am also happy to walk anywhere or use a subway. I’m CPR & first aid certified. I’m a recent Yale graduate with a masters degree in stage management. After working in a preschool during the pandemic, I worked in a Chicago area preschool classroom for almost two years in both the 2-12 month and 4 & 5 year old classrooms. In the spring of 2020; I graduated with a BA in early childhood, elementary education, and theatre. I am passionate and emphatic about viewing and valuing the child as a capable individual with a sense of agency. Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to work with kids of many different backgrounds, encouraging them to engage through a sense of play, confidence and individualism. My experiences as a teacher, nanny, facilitator and graduate professor and taught me about teamwork, collaboration, problem solving and I am not adverse to cleaning up Legos or Shopkins that litter your living room. Nor am I afraid of a dirty diaper or any other messes your little one may make. I am also experienced with children of all different needs and abilities.
“Hannah was wonderful and kind to our 10 month old daughter. Neighbors from our building later saw me and told me how gentle and attentive she was to my daughter in the playroom. I am so grateful and would definitely recommend her and will work with her in the future. ”
Hello! My name is Stephanni and I have been babysitting/working in daycare centers for over a decade, beginning at my church nursery when I turned 14. I worked there for two years, taking care of children from 3 months-12 years old. When I turned 16, I began working at the daycare center at Lifetime Fitness (a gym in Texas) until I graduated high school. In college, I nannied for 3 children ages 11-15, and drove them to and from their after school activities. I moved to NY from Texas 10 years ago and have no plans to move anywhere else! My favorite thing to do in the city is to walk around and explore different neighborhoods and try different restaurants. In my spare time, I also love going to concerts and traveling! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need more information!
Hi families, my name is Hermela. I have over 14 years of part-time babysitting and nannying experience. I am looking for occasional and part-time work. I love working with children and helping them grow and learn. I enjoy working on creative crafts and games with kids. I can help with homework or general tutoring, as I have worked as a tutor in the past as well. I am also comfortable with dogs and cats in the house. In my free time I enjoy going on walks and exploring the city, and doing pottery.
