Hello Dear Families, My name is Elena and I currently work in a Montessori School, before that I worked at an Early Intervention Center helping children with autism. I have been working with children for more than five years ranging from the ages of 3 months to 6 years old. I've also had the pleasure of being a part time nanny for a 2 year old boy for over year, my responsibilities included creating a schedule for the child, helping with meal prep, bathing, light house work, finding things to do in the area for the child, and creating learning activities for the child, and helping with bedtime. I have my CPR/ First Aid, SIDS, and Infant brain development certifications.
Hi there! My name is Janett, and I’m a proud graduate of Lehman College with a degree in Recreational Therapy and a minor in Art. I bring creativity, compassion, and reliability into every role I take on. I provide child care, senior care, and household support and I truly love what I do. I’ve been caring for children since I was 19, from newborns to school aged kids. My experience includes school pick ups and drop offs, tutoring, arts and crafts, dancing, and creating fun, engaging activities that help kids learn and grow. Parents trust me because I’m responsible, patient, and always focused on making sure children feel safe and supported. I also have extensive experience caring for seniors. I was a caregiver for my grandmother and worked in several assisted living facilities and nursing homes, where I learned the importance of dignity, empathy, and reliability in senior care. On top of that, I can help with day to day household needs. I cook, clean, run errands, and am an expert at navigating the MTA. I’m known for being punctual, organized, and a strong problem solver. I’m also very pet friendly! Having lived with four dogs and a cat at once, I’m comfortable caring for animals alongside my other responsibilities. If you’re looking for someone dependable, warm, and versatile, I’d love to bring my skills and passion to support your family’s needs.
“Janett was great. She helped out in a pinch and my two kids enjoyed her and asked if she could sit for us again. ”
Hi! I'm a nurse who's currently looking for intermittent baby-sitting for date nights, errands, emergencies, etc. I've been a NICU nurse for 4 years and prior to that was a full time nanny for 5 years. I also babysat throughout most of middle school, high school, and parts of college. Most of my recent experience is from newborn to three years of age, but I do have experience with older children as well. I love infants and toddlers because they have such wonder and awe for the world around them and it's a special experience to watch and engage with their development and growth. I'm gentle, engaging, empathetic, and sympathetic in my care and avoid screen time when with the children. I love taking children to parks, museums, play dates, etc., but also just as happy to play games and read stories at home. I won't be able to have regularly scheduled gigs as my work schedule changes week by week, but would love to find a family or families to develop a longer term baby-sitting relationship with, as I feel continuity is better for both the children and the carers. I am also BLS and NRP certified. Thanks!
