Hi, my name is Marae and I love working with kids!! I've been babysitting for about 5 years now and out of all my jobs, it's always been my favorite:) Being the daughter of an elementary school teacher I was raised with a deep appreciation for peace + love, and I love keeping that cycle going! I'm open to all aspects of care-taking for children (including any special needs for neurodivergent children), except driving and changing diapers. I am also open to house-care such as grocery shopping, laundry, tidying up, etc. I am currently in college, so I don't have my degree yet but I'm working on it!

Originally from Buffalo, NY, I moved to Manhattan in 2024 to continue my education. I’m 25 years old and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Childhood Development from Nazareth College. After graduating in 2022, I spent two years working in a psychiatric facility supporting children with mental health needs, working with kids as young as 5 and up to 17 years old. Caring for children has always been something I genuinely love. During my earlier years in school, I also nannied for several families, gaining hands-on experience with infants as young as 2 months old as well as families with multiple children. These experiences have helped me develop patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of children at different developmental stages. In my free time, I love staying active and engaged with kids by playing soccer, exploring parks, and visiting museums. I’m also a big dog lover and am very comfortable around pets. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel supported and cared for.

I am an early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience working with young children. I hold an MSEd in Early Childhood Education and love exploring all types of activities with children, from arts and crafts, to baking, dramatic play, science explorations, outdoor play, and so much more. Additionally, as a mom to two children of my own, a teen and a pre-teen, I have been through it all and am happy to assist parents in every way that I can.

I have over 8 years of childcare experience across a variety of settings, including nannying, coaching, and working in children’s programming. Most recently, I worked as a Kids Club Attendant at the Four Seasons Orlando, where I design and lead engaging activities and games in a high-energy, luxury environment. I also spent three years working in retail at Walt Disney World, where I focused on creating memorable, engaging experiences for families and children. This strengthened my ability to connect quickly with kids and bring energy and positivity into every interaction. In addition, I have extensive coaching experience with both the Savannah Sharks and Upper Merion Allstars, where I led practices and taught tumbling classes. I also coached a cheer team for children with differing abilities, which was one of the most meaningful parts of my experience. It taught me how to adapt to individual needs, build confidence, and create an inclusive, supportive environment for every child.
