I have several years of paid childcare experience in a variety of settings. I am currently a nanny, and love to supported children’s with their daily routines, helped with homework, prepared meals, and created a safe, engaging environment. I also currently work at Special Education school, where I assist with children’s care, supervision, and classroom activities. My experience has helped me develop strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, and I’m comfortable working with different ages and needs. I always aim to build positive relationships with the children and families I support.
For over a decade, I've dedicated myself to nurturing young minds and providing families with dependable childcare. My passion lies in fostering each child's unique growth and development, and I find joy in making a positive impact on their lives. I bring a patient, creative, and friendly approach to my care. I am comfortable caring for up to three children of various ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am adept at following parents' lead on household rules and communication preferences, offering verbal updates at pickup and regular texts or calls. I enjoy engaging children with outdoor sports, board games, and educational activities. I am also happy to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. Ultimately, I strive to create a safe, fun, and enriching environment where your children can thrive, and I look forward to the opportunity to get to know your family!
Hello! I’m Shanda, and caring for children has been my passion for many years. I have 36 college units in Early Childhood Education and have had the privilege of working with children of all ages—from preschool through high school—including children with special needs. Throughout my career I’ve served as a preschool director, worked in elementary, middle, and high school settings, coordinated large Vacation Bible School programs, and organized monthly respite nights for families of children with special needs, giving parents a chance to rest while their children enjoyed a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Today I work for the local school district and also teach preschool part-time. While experience is important, I believe the heart behind the work matters just as much. I’ve always been drawn to children who need a little extra patience, encouragement, or someone who truly sees them. Whether a child is outgoing, shy, energetic, anxious, or simply having a difficult day, I strive to create a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, respected, and valued. Families often describe me as patient, dependable, and kind. I enjoy reading stories, doing crafts, playing games, spending time outdoors, helping with homework, and encouraging children’s curiosity and confidence. My goal is for every child in my care to know they are important, capable, and cared for. I would love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide dependable, compassionate care for your children. “Some of the most meaningful relationships I’ve built have been with children others found challenging, because I believe every child deserves to be understood before they are judged.”
Hi there! My name is Miriam, I am a mom of 1 as of last year and I have experience with caring for my baby girl and also with nieces and nephews for the last couple of years. Hoping to find a loving family that I can work with while being able to bring my baby along. I’ve experienced first hand what it’s like trying to juggle childcare while working a full time job and also how hard it is to find someone caring enough to trust your babies with. I would love to put all of my time and effort to care for your babies, while bringing my baby along to help yours and my family thrive together.
I’ve worked with children, seniors, and animals in various settings over the years. I’ve taught English to children in foreign countries, worked at day cares, kids art booths, baby sat, worked with seniors in hospice care. Growing up I helped take care of my grandmother. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have worked with exotic animals that were rescues.
