Hi! I have been babysitting for about 9 years now and have experience with kids of many ages. I am currently a college student and have recently worked as a swim instructor, so I’m very comfortable caring for children in a way that is safe, fun, and engaging. I can help with homework, prepare meals, and keep kids entertained with games and activities. I’m responsible, patient, and reliable and I always try my absolute best to create a positive environment for both kids and parents.

I raised my two stepdaughters from ages 8 months and 2 years until ages 8 and 10. As a teenager, I babysat every weekend from age 14, and most of the children I cared for were babies and toddlers. I also worked summers in a kinder camp as an assistant to the camp counselors. At home with my stepdaughters, I had a one-hour-a-day screen policy, so we did a lot of activities together, such as cooking, puzzles, reading, singing, and dancing, as well as anything fun that allowed them to be kids. Much of my parenting style and overall approach to being with kids and young adults is based on the Montessori method, which I learned as a Montessori kid from kindergarten through 6th grade. I believe that practical life skills, fun, and emotional intelligence, along with guiding them, are the best way for kids to feel safe and free to explore the world. At the end of the day, kids are future adults, and letting them learn to take responsibility for how they show up in the world builds healthy confidence and self-esteem, helping them become well-adjusted adults who are happy, healthy, and productive. When spending time with infants and toddlers, it's always important to work on milestones in a fun and healthy way while engaging and connecting with the child :-)
