I am an NYC-based teacher, currently teaching 7th grade ELA. Next year, I will be teaching 4th Grade (all subjects). I am NYSED certified in ELA, Theatre, and Elementary Education. In addition to my experience in education, I have worked as a part-time/freelance nanny and child care provider in NYC for over ten years. I have an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU and am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid. I have also been fingerprinted/background checked by the NYC Department of Education. I am an animal lover with two cats (my former fosters). I grew up around dogs, cats, goats, and llamas and love all animals. I have a close relationship with the children in my family and have been involved in caretaking for my younger cousins since my years early in high school (14-15 years old). I've also been responsible for caretaking for my neighbor's dog regularly during the day from 9-7/8 PM and am very comfortable with dogs generally.
