I love children, and growing up I helped out a lot with taking care of family friends' kids, which included watching over them and playing and crafting with them. I also have a lot of experience working at children's language classes as a teacher's assistant. I have worked for both summer camps and weekly few-hour classes. These jobs mainly include assisting with outdoor activities, feeding the children, and making sure they are all safe throughout the day. The ages of the children usually vary between 6 and 14. I also have some experience volunteering at a kindergarten for a summer, where I had similar tasks to the language classes, except these children were between the ages of 3 and 6. I offer pet care as well, which I have a lot of experience in due to growing up as a pet owner myself. I have a cat and a dog, so I am comfortable with both. I am a professional dancer, arts administrator, and teaching artist who is passionate about using dance and movement to heal, empower, and connect individuals & communities. I have been working with children of all ages & abilities in an educational capacity for almost 10 years now, mainly through dance education, after school programs, and academic enrichment. I have been teaching dance to children in various spaces and capacities (dance studio, community centers, elementary and middle schools, theaters, etc.) since I was 16 years old. In DC, I worked as an Aftercare Lead Artist, creating and facilitating academic and arts enrichment curriculum for children K-3.
